Engine start issues

occasionally I am unable to start my car.

Key in and it cranks normally but no light off. Turn off the car and try again and it works normally.

Sometimes it takes 3 attempts before it starts. Always the same symptoms: cranks normally but no ignition, recycle the key and it starts.

Seems like something isn't getting sensed right and the DME won't send either the fuel or the spark.

any ideas?

well I guess the first thing is to check for spark.

then injectors to confirm fuel, gonna need a NOID light for that.

Mine's done this very occasionally, like once per year.
Always after filling up with gas. Always starts and runs fine on the second try.

It appears to have been an issue with DME EWS alignment due to a battery issue. ISTA was used to realign and so far all is wellNESS
