I'm Nicky
Hi everyone! I'm getting ready to sell my beloved 2007 coupe, 6 speed; hit me up if anyone is interested. I figured I should check-in and see if any enthusiasts were in search of one. I couldn't bring myself to do any mods to the Z4, it felt wrong. While I love to see someone that loves the car as much as me, I cringe whenever I see an elusive coupe that has been "customized". Anyway, have a 428i for the daily driver and just started a fun new project with a little Fiat 500 (don't judge me). I feel like I can get away with customizing the Fiat without it being offensive to anyone.

Here in St. John's NL Canada, and some smaller towns close by, I've seen quite a few of what look to me to be "new kid in town" E85 Z4's in recent weeks. In fact, I'd be so bold as to say that this area has a very large Z4 group, even compared to much larger cities. So come on folks - show the flag and post a pic!
You folks in the black Z4s - yeah I'm talking to you!

New guy here. Just picked up a 2006 M Roadster with 30k miles. Looking forward to learning more from (and maybe contributing to) this forum.

Very nice. Interior is similar to mine. Mine has the wood trim instead of the carbon leather. In the summer you are going to like having the beige seats.
Looks like you may have the peeling coating issue on the steering wheel spokes. I removed those and used my fingernails and a soft scrubber to remove the coating. With 30K miles, I hope that Inspection I was done on it, especially the valve adjustment.

On the plus side, engine bay, interior, power top, etc. are all immaculate. It was a garage queen. Yes, good observation about the steering wheel spokes. Is that some kind of rubberized coating mixed with finger grime? How does it look when you rub it off and what kind of scrubber did you use? |

The coating typically deteriorates over time, probably helped by finger oils, suntan lotion, interior detail liquids, etc. I just used a kitchen scotch brite pad. It wasn't too abrasive. Without the coating, it is a shiny black plastic, which was fine with me, so I left them like that. Of course, you could always use some plastic compatible spray paint if you want to better match the other plastic interior pieces.

Hey! New Z4MC owner here, in Winnipeg, Canada; Replaced an E46 330i with a Z4MC and a Mercedes GLK for winter duties.
A little bit of background here in this thread. It was a 2,000Km drive with freezing rain, and snow, and crazy winds - not a great experience, but car took it like a champ. First and last time it will see snow, that's for sure. Sad news is its heading into storage in a few days till spring Anyway, I'm happy to officially join the club! |

Hello!!
New bimmer owner here! I have had a 2003 bmw z4 since June this year and I love it! I may have quite a few questions as time goes by given the car is old, and I'm a female and have trust issues with any mechanic I go to 😆 |
