'08 Z4 M Coupe
Hi everyone - new member here. I have been following and enjoying this site for a long time. I first became aware of the M Coupe many years ago while stuck in traffic in Chicago. I was daydreaming behind the wheel of my Mazda 3, probably trying to massage a charlie horse out of my clutch leg while moving towards downtown at walking speed. I glanced to the right and happened to see a beautiful Z4 M Coupe beside my car. Watching it creep down the expressway in the drudgery of rush hour traffic was like watching a tiger pacing in a cage at the zoo. It was love at first sight and I have wanted one ever since. I'm pleased to finally be able to say that I have found my dream car. It is a 2008 Z4 M Coupe, Imola Red with Extended Black interior. I have had it for a couple months now and am absolutely thrilled with it. Looking forward to being part of this community.

2007 Z4 Coupe
Hey guys,
I'm a senior citizen who picked up this 65,000 mile, 6-speed manual coupe several weeks ago. I've driven it maybe 45 miles since purchase and really like the car. We're waiting on a new set of tires and Apex wheels. I'll post a few photos when those are mounted. David |

Was poking around looking at Z4 Coupes this weekend and this one fell into my lap:
2007 Coupe, 124k miles 6-Speed Manual Sport option Wood trim Best I can tell, that's it for options. I'd loved to have the sport seats, but I'm thrilled to have found this gem. It joins my '11 335 I bought 2 1/2 years ago and I look forward to many years of Bimmer enjoyment. Last edited by cahme; 02-13-2018 at 08:52 PM.. |

Drive it! You have a true unicorn -- only 828 manual 3.0si coupes in North America. And you have a car that rewards a driver. So drive it! Enjoy it! |

Pictures are easiest to upload in the advanced posting mode from a desktop or laptop. On mobile you can up a pic. Not pics. Mind the size/data constraints too. Anything super large or data heavy will not be postable. Looking forward to whatever you try. Will be interesting! |

What a surprise! Thanks for the commentary. Two days ago I had to take it to BMW to have the computer reset due to the battery having drained so low prior to my purchase. After the reset and just before I was ready to leave, the Service Manager walked over and commented that I had a "cool looking car". I think the Z4 Coupe's relative scarcity had something to do with his statement. I was attracted to the Z4's style abut 2 1/2 years ago when one passed me on I-70 west of Baltimore. I didn't know what type car it was as it blasted by me so quickly. Later I Googled 'coupe' and viewed many photos before I could identify the make and name. In January of this year I began looking, and finally expanded the search to nationwide. There were less than 20 cars listed for sale with the manual transmission, and many with high mileage. I narrowed my preference to either black or silver, but preferred the silver. I located my car in Conshohocken, PA which is conveniently only 80 miles from my home. Seems to be a nice sports car that my wife also enjoys driving. David |

New member, first-time BMW owner, first post!
I just took delivery of my 2007 M coupe (see my garage) last Monday! I've put just about 90 miles on it in the last week (I want to keep it low miles per year, but I think I'm going to be driving it a lot during this "honeymoon" phase!). Big firsts for me, and I'm pretty sure I did it right: this is my first Bimmer and my first car of any real level of performance. Fittingly, this is my very first post on ZPost as well! I'm looking forward to "refreshing" her. Has 60K miles, very good condition. Front rotors have large groove, but hardly any shudder (new pads). I have new OEM rotors and Hawk HPS 5.0 pads ready to install, but thinking I might just use the current setup until the pads wear down. Any reason that would be bad? I am not pushing too hard, just getting to know the car--and there's plenty of performance under the limit that I am enjoying for the time being! Other things some experts who have inspected my car said I should keep an eye on (although not urgent now): Guibo flex disc, power steering pump (very slight whine), possibly replace all bushings, change out diff and transmission fluid to red line, bleed brakes. Of course, mods are fun and I've already got some ideas (suspension, exhaust), but that will be down the road. I'm not looking to track; mainly to enhance road performance. In general I'm really starting from scratch as a gear head and have a ton to learn: I am quite adept at the wheel--done some recreational competition in cars and karts and have fared above average with no regular training. But I have a lot to learn, mechanically. My dad is flying in to town next week for this "milestone" experience in my life and we're going to start getting my garage set up--I'm starting from scratch, so need all the basics: tools, jack, stands, etc. Any suggestions?? I'm not looking to be hasty, and am glad to do my research/study. Do any of you have advice about where and how I can get a proper education online, but in a more structured way, as opposed to just doing google searches and scouring the internet for random videos and blogs on each separate topic that comes to my mind? Thanks, all. Great to be part of the Bimmer world, and the particularly special M club! BB Last edited by BBZ4MC; 02-17-2018 at 01:11 AM.. |

http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/showt...ce-on-your-car!!! When bleeding your brakes, don't forget to also bleed the clutch. It uses the same brake fluid. I just purchased a Motive pressure bleeder, and I really like it. Congrats on your Z4M coupe! Salty
