Intake parts???
Hello again.....I am confused on the intake options. I am trying to swap my 2007 Z4 3.0i with an N52 and 6 speed trans into a 3.0 Si version.
Below is a photo of what I have on my car now and one of an intake listed as a Si version. The first one shows the hose my car uses since the CCV is "as I understand it" on or part of the valve cover. In the second photo it shows 3 things I dont have with the intake I bought online. It did come with the Disa valves. I know I will need the one shown in green but the other two are for what? I ordered a new hose like in the top photo because better safe than sorry but now it may have been a waste of effort. I was told my intake came off of a 2006 330i. Thanks

I went with the stage3 performance tune. Type N52 In the search on their site, its at the bottom of the page. Call them and ask for Jim, he makes the tunes, he will explain what parameters are changed.

The red is not on my car at all and I dont see anything even close to the blue part. The yellow hose hooks directly into the valve cover. I did not get any message. -

I got the stock yellow hose to connect to the red and green on the 3stage manifold. I deleted all my before pics. There was one sensor i had to turn 180.

Hello all,
I'm trying to test the DISA valves that came with the 3 stage intake I bought a while back. Would the DISA part number matter? The ones that came in the intake (11617560538, 11617560537) are a different number than the ones listed for a 2007 Z4 3.0Si. I have had the Si tune put on my ECU but having problems testing the DISA valves before installing the intake on the car. I tried my Foxwell 14020SCH but it stops working when I try to activate the DISAs. I have Inpa but it has scripting errors every time I use it. So I'm not sure if its even working or worse may cause a problem from the errors. I have BMW Scanner 1.4 but not sure if it can do anything like this. Ugh!?!?!?!?! -

From memory, the cables are too short to mix up. They will only connect one way.

I was hoping they were keyed so that this wasn't possible but its not that way on mine. Ugh! -

Hello all,
I successfully completed the si conversion using the bimmerlabs tune a few months back and thought I'd ask about fuel economy. Not really talking about in-town since I do drive pretty spirited, but I noticed I'm missing a few mpg out on the highway at cruise. Used to get 32-34 and now get around 29 peak. Combined has dropped by about 5 as well. Car is running great and pulls strong, no errors or dirty filter or anything like that, just wondering if the tune is less efficient. Noticing it with gas prices lately :P Thanks! |

I can't speak to the conversion but my 3.0si coupe 6-speed got 30+ highway/trip MPG. In fact it was hard to get below 20MPG even when I was romping in the mountains. Crazy good on gas, considering.

They are probably just pretty busy. You can tune it yourself for free. I used the company below.
