Thursday for me. Wow that's quick. Just in time to prep and paint this weekend.

The CF weave and clear coat appears top notch. There are some minor blemishes on the bottom plastic part, but it's going to get buffed, sanded, and prepped before I install (as anyone installing any aftermarket parts should).

Here it is, initial prep for paint. Probably do it this Sunday while the family is at church. While they go to their place of worship, I'll be at mine.

Quick test fitting. For an aftermarket part the fit is dead balls accurate. Virtually zero gaps with just doubled up painter's tape holding it down.
Shoot for FACTORY parts the fit and finish is excellent. My OE aero kit for the E46 323Ci coupe spoiler did not fit this nice. Neither did the factory aero side skirt. My jaw dropped at how factory this looks. Keep in mind this is just eye-balling the fit, without using a centerline method. When the piece is painted I'll do another test fit with better measurement. But the curvature of the bottom of the spoiler and the little raised bump matches the curvature of the hatch perfectly. PERFECTLY. (No peanut gallery comments about the garage please. Family is starting to "encroach" on my man-cave)

Now the excitement after an early Christmas has faded, few things.
1. I don't think there's enough double sided tape. I'll probably go buy a wider roll for maximum coverage. There's probably enough to run a bead all around the perimeter and then some, but definitely not enough if you want a nice, flush install (meaning the tape runs to the edge and then trimmed off by exacto knife). 2. Having done the test fit, I personally feel that it needs to be painted on Interlagos Blue. As a personal preference I don't like the exposed CF look, but it works well in certain combinations. I would probably paint for IB and Sepang Bronze. Leave it for White, Ti-Silver and Red. Toss up for jet black and sapphire, although just from comparison with IB I'd lean towards paint. For Space Gray, that's really tough. I can see it either way. If you have other CB parts on the car, it will look great naked. 3. Prep, prep and MORE PREP! Besides that one small blemish, there's quite a bit of what appears to be mold release agent. Make sure you thoroughly clean the bottom mating surface before install. I plan on sanding it lightly with 800 grit paper to give the double sided tape a better surface to stick to, but it's not necessary if you have it cleaned up well. Really nit picky stuff. Nothing that would stop me from giving this a 10 out of 10 honestly. Absolutely complements all the other aftermarket bits I added to the car lately.

Awesome to see poeple are starting to receive the 1st batch. I've created a Skyer thread for mounting ideas and picture posting
http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1435204 I've only gotten tracking numbers last night and a few already been delivered. We elected to pay for air expedited shipping service and it shows how efficient they are. I didn't want participant to wait 2 months shipping time and found out their product is lost at sea.... Post your feedback and pictures on the thread above, as I'd like to keep this thread for GB related support, update and announcements. This way, I don't miss a post when scrolling on my phone with slow loading pictures. -many thanks,
