There has only been one business day, so if course nothing has happened...I'd expect they actually start shipping tomorrow

Hey fellas. Just an update. Don't fear if you haven't been contacted yet. I just got an update from Scott. It seems like they are doing group shipments. So if you're not apart of the first batch you will probably be contacted soon.

Went for two nice, long drives this weekend. Once the Stromungs are good and hot, the slightly off-throtttle burbling is lots of fun to play with (3rd gear is my favorite!). I've had mine for over a year now.

Mine shows UPS Anaheim got it late yesterday and it left there late last night. Supposed to get it by end of business day Thursday the 6th.
They hit the schedule they promised almost to the day (3 weeks was Thursday, it shipped on Friday). |

Install
I have installed about 5 sets on Z4M's (don't ask) and it can definitely be a DIY job. Best with a floor jack but I have even done it on the garage floor. There are two ways to do it: remove the diffuser in the middle (recommended) or remove the mounting hardware bolted to the car. The mufflers have a great deal of flex in terms of mounting adjustment so you can get a perfect fit. Total job for the first timer moving slow like me is about 1.5 hrs. I have also had the local shop do it on a lift in about 40 min they charged $60 if I recall. Good luck all. Happy to assist anyone in the Charlotte area.

Mine should arrive today. Do they come with new gaskets to attach cans to the Xpipe? I'm hoping they do so after work I can throw them on and start making some noise!

Folks, swapping exhaust cans is easy and a perfect DIY for anyone who feels like they have two thumbs. There is no fluids to leak on you and no parts that are going to fall apart and go KABLOOEY It also gives you a chance to peek at the cool parts underneath and in the back of your car.
Definitely take off the plastic under carriage tray (3 mins) and per the advice Scott had given me, remove the exhaust hangers from the car (socket with long extension) to drop the cans rather than remove the cans from the exhaust hanger. Then it is quick and easy to swap the exhaust hanger to the new cans. Mount the exhaust hangers back to the car first and then bolt the cans back to the pipes. This way you can adjust the fit of the tips by tightening up the bolts and seeing how it moves (tighten bolts on top..tips move up...) |

Yes, that's an excellent write up (that's the one I remember looking at). At his step 10 is where you should stray and remove the hangers from the car, keeping them attached to the exhaust can (much, much easier).
