Without knowing your full name - I have no way to match the two. Please email me your info so I can look up your return.

Tom,
Got the kit and installed it today, have to say little disappointed, But it might be the settings so let me ask a few Q's, The Audio setup is stock M Roadster with Nav, Now the problem('s) I'm having are, Text, Either very small, Or too big, according to the disc 6 settings, In your experience what the best setting for text on a Z4 nav screen? (also dip switches are in default setting) Also along the lines of text its not very fast, Theres a delay when you hit the next track when browsing through songs/playlists/albums, and the text doesn't keep up with the button, and sometimes the text doesn't move, Quick example, Lets "say" your trying to play Michael Jackson "Thriller" (remember were "just saying" ) all Im getting would be "Michael Ja" and thats it, Text doesn't scroll it just stops, Also Ive noticed it takes over the Map on the nav screen and you have to go the hard way back to the map (menu>GPS>Map) and Ive noticed if I disconnect the iPod and re attach it it won't play, the nav screen just says "attached" but no sound or songs, I have to disconnect it, turn off the car, wait, and re connect everything, It could be I hyped it up too much in my head and its just very slow and something I'm not used to, OR the settings are not optimum, Also is there anyway to get text full screen and not just the little bar at the top? Any help on settings would be great,

Perform the following steps to correct the map overwriting: 1. First verify you are in the correct text mode by pressing CD6/TRACK6, then pressing CD1 to exit that mode. 2. Press MENU>GPS NAVIGATION>MAPS while playing a song on your iPod. Use the screen toggle button (looks like 2 squares in the top left hand corner) to toggle between screens

If I remember right track 6 was the large text that displayed even less, but ill give it a shot, anything you can do to speed it up? and is there a random/shuffle setting instead of listening in order?

No, text speed is fixed and cannot be changed.

ok, have to live with that,
and is there a shuffle setting on it that you can listen to random songs rather than in order? I read somewhere you can hit the RND button on the radio, (or this might be for another iPod kit and not the silverline) but if I can this is what my button section looks like, What button would I push for random?

Tom NVM I found the random setting,
Much better, I tried the track 6 size text and its really big, I think 5 is better as you get a few more letters but its a little small, Guess i'll have to live with it real shame you can't get the cover art displayed on the screen, that would be awesome and theres so much space to utilize on the nav screen,

We had this working with other equipment a few years back, but it made the interface very slow and unstable.

If so, how much for the full price including shipping to Calgary, Alberta, Canada? Thank you. |

Receiving my replacement updated Silverline unit tomorrow. Hopefully the repeat problem is fixed. I'll post my findings. I'm glad everything was handled well. DICE contacted me and sent me a pre-paid label to return my unit, when the unit was received a replacement was sent out same day. Thanks Tom as well for making it all possible.

Hello.
I installed the Dice Silverline in my Z4 Coupé, but I have still problems with the Dice. The kit runs unstable:
Does anybody of you have similar problems or a/the solution? Arno |
