I'm pretty sure it's a walbro 400, even the base of the pump is wider than the top like the actual walbro 400. |

Yes I agree, when i will replace my fuel pump, i will cannibalize the casing and get to the pump and see what's written on it.

http://www.boschautoparts.com/Vehicl...part_num=69841 Maybe the repair kit is a walbro 400 and the one put in the car is not. George do you have your old pump before the aeromotive swap ? |

The bosch part on the link i gave earlier says bosch on it. On the repair kit i bought from ecstuning it doesn't say bosch and the part number written on it is: 7 198 097 and assembled in mexico While the part number on realoem for the fuel pump repair kit is 1 6 11 7 198 099 So i think that in the USA it was cheaper to install a walbro 400 so the original pump in the car might not be a walbro 400 but buying the repair kit from ecstuning.com, you would be provided with a walbro 400 intank fuel pump. I would need to take pics once i replace my pump to see if my theory is correct. Till then, if anyone attempts to replace his fuel pump, post some pics in here so that we can get to the bottom of this. |

ti automotive Fuel pump: http://www.maperformance.com/ti-auto...f90000262.html It was also clear to me that the housing has some breathing system inside of it that forbids fuel starvation. The area where the fuel pump draws the fuel is a small confined space as if it represents a fuel surge tank. When you installed your pump george, does the white casing in my previous image gets mounted horizontally or vertically? And what does the couple of white tubes plug into? inside the tank? they could be used as a pickup from another "small" fuel pump as well that is not fuel pressure regulated. I'm not sure if my english is correct in that last sentence but it's 12:00 over here. Last edited by tikamak; 03-22-2014 at 04:50 PM.. |

Hey guys not trying to troll but when we 335i e90 went to start running e85 we started having problems with pressure and volume. So what we do is run a pump in line and leave the oem pump in place. I dont have the stock twins any longer I have a big single and I am able to run 100% e85 currently tuning so Im at only 18psi (500+whp).
The benefit of running inline is is that you leave the stock config of the bucket alone. The 450 walbro is e85 compatible and running it inline you will have more than enough fuel. The oem pump cant handle high e85 content so thats where the 450 walbro comes in and doesnt let it struggle. There is a 255 inline kit out there but then you'd be running 2 non e85 compatible pumps. Not sure if any of you would benefit from this or not? I know in our cars (e90x runs flawless plenty of guys hitting 600+hp on this kit. DME controls voltage many are running the stock fuse but you could go 1 step up from 20 amp to a 25amp. please feel free to txt me 505 908 4916 with any question. I am not a vendor so I am not stating that Im selling these but if you have questions txt me
