The acrylic itself will hides the seals & mount locations, right? I don't see the purpose the dot matrix served other than cosmetic?

1)- Give the glass panes a transitional coloring hue so as not to be such a harsh visual break in the cars lines- ( from paint color to glass, for example). 2)- The black color hides all adhesives, substructures etc very well without the need for added trims. 3)- Dot matrix is visually easier to ignore as opposed to a abrupt hard line that draws your eyes to the obvious. In the case of this project....I must do it to blend in the cars current status....if I didn't , my roofs would appear more under engineered and more aftermarket than I could accept. |

well.... like many others, I just can't stay away from this thread.
I've been thinking about the rear hatch. If done in clearcoat CF; The area I'm having trouble with is where the extended A pillar above the doors meets the hatch. That transition really breaks up the flow. Any thought about doing something with that A pillar piece. Is it even feasible.

Maybe I should look further into molding them as a removable cap ? If its thin enough , it could just snap into place and use a drop or two of silicone for speeds above 100+. Jesus....I'll never get any rest, lol. |
