2008 Z4 M owner from Oz
Hi All!
My names Ash, I live in Australia and own a 2008 Black Z4M roadster. I am new to the forum and don't really know what I'm doing! I've owned my car for over a year now and haven't done any mods yet as it was under warranty. So I'm ready to do mods now, but it's impossible to find anywhere to buy parts in Australia (and crazy high prices) so I need to purchase parts from the US. In the next few months I want to buy an exhaust and an intake but so unsure of which exhaust to get - really want it to sound good. So I'm coming over to the US in May and I'll be in Las Vegas from the 23rd-28th then San Fran 29-2nd June, then driving down the coast to LA and through to San Diego, departing 6 June to Mexico. Was hoping you could let me know if there are any Z4 meets on during any of these dates? I am hoping to see a few modded Z4's and get an idea about exhausts etc. Let me know if I've posted this all in the wrong spot and where I should post it Thanks! - Ash |

Hi Everyone...Acquired a Z4 M Coupe
Hello,
Little surfing around on the internet with the search criteria of Z4M, Landed me here @ Zpost.com. Kind of bizarre, I also have a Nissan 350Z APS Twin Turbo....might need to rename the Nissan and keep the "Z" as the the Z4M Anyway, Glad to have found this forum, hope to learn a lot about our new car on this forum. Nothing stay's UN-modified in our garage for long, will see about this Bimmer, I like the VF supercharger kit. Last edited by Z4MCO; 04-12-2013 at 10:40 PM.. |

Hey guys and ladies.
Previously I owned only Japanese cars and now time for German style. I've been for long time lurker and looking for perfect car spent around 2 years for test driving bunch of cars: g35, g37, e92 328i, e92 335i, e46 m3, 996 and finally picked up the most fun one the jet black 2006 z4 3.0si with 45k miles. I bought it from one of the forum members in California and bring it back to sunny Seattle Here is pic from the trip. Overall I am very happy with the car and the toy is a lot a lot of fun Next steps: 1. Detail the car. Whole car has swirls all around... Ah black color, but I always want it Ordered bunch of detailing stuff and DA polisher. Method: 2 bucket wash, clay, polish, wax, seal. Clean the top and seal it. Restore headlight. 2. Ordered US-Spec ipod interface. Hope it will work, spent yesterday 30 minutes to find cd changer cables.. no luck.. they hidden far way probably. 3. Ordered cubby antenna, somebody stole original one. 4. Ordered led license plate lights from e92. 5. I wish there were easy way to blackout housing of headlights and change halos easily... But I am looking at least to change color of halos. Any suggestions??? if yes, please pm me. 6. Change roundels for black and white or maybe black and white carbon look. 7. Tint front and back side markers. 8. Tint the car. 9. Not sure if I would like to smoke taillights, but I am considering to do so. 10. Add radar detector and laser blocker and fit it with stock look 11. Get the windscreen deflector 12. Change audio system. I am big fun of sq and even the car came with premium sound package...it's sound..mmm... ok... I am planning to keep stock look and add one of processors from jl, jbl or alpine. If anyone did something similar before in their z4, pm me please. Last edited by yarosus; 04-12-2013 at 02:30 PM.. |

Now for those who have not yet posted a picture of your new car... Either you are tardy, or out enjoying your Ultimate Driving Machine. The latter is the only legitimate excuse.

Hello,
My name is Niaz. I live in Turlock, CA (about an hour SE of the Bay Area). Recently purchased an 06 Z4 3.0i with 55k miles. Silver exterior, black interior with auto tranny (for the wife). I have been lurking around the forum for a while trying to learn as much as possible from seasoned enthusiasts. This is my 3rd BMW (owned 00 323i and 02 330i M package back in the day). Definitely glad to be back in the world of BMW and soaking up vital feedback from fellow owners of our lovely Z4s. Last edited by ghrup09; 04-21-2013 at 11:29 PM.. |
