Tonight my Wife and I went to a restaurant in Lindeaness Norway which is 5.5 metres under the sea.
We’ve been lucky enough to go to some wonderful restaurants throughout the world and Under is right up there! The food is wonderful and the view is so very relaxing. A wonderful night was had by both of us. I won’t post all the food pics but the meal was superb. |

I've considered moving to Norway, Switzerland or Japan when I retire... but unfortunately I believe my pension as a former US military guy who likes to drive fast cars, ride fast bikes and shoot for recreation.... I just won't be able to afford those luxuries outside of the US, lol

I too, like fast cars and bikes and it is extremely frustrating driving here. The speed limit on the vast majority of roads is 80kms/hour which is more than enough for most of the roads. They all just seem to set their control to 80 and just follow each other around. Other than the major highway there are very few overtaking lanes or places to overtake. There are plenty of places in Europe you can enjoy your “vices”, which coincidentally are very similar to mine, just not Norway or Switzerland. I hate the heat so we’re thinking of retiring to the north of Italy(Bolzano), in the Dolomites. A much better spot in my opinion and so much less expensive. |
