yeah, thankfully RMM motorsports found the o2 sensor mixup. The secondaries were plugged in, primaries were hanging around. Don't know what killed them, but we had to replace 'em because they were throwing fault codes

Its running strong, but i'm not hitting redline because I was told it goes into limp mode there. I'll permanently install the rear o2 sensors and egt this week I hope, maybe that'll fix it. I'm gonna get a GOOD gauge, and just do a temp install until I buy a good gauge pod.
I made a video of driving to work like an ass, but I was using a modified gopro housing for underwater use, so its big and flat in the front, so the sound maybe off. I'm getting a normal housing from gopro within a week. Traction off, hells yeah this thing is fun

today I did a few pulls, and it limped at 5000 once. Didn't hit redline because... well, its a bit crowded, but I did hit 7500 a few times with no issues

ESS is assuming that I'm having the other rare limp issues because the rear o2 sensors and egt are not installed. Makes sense. i'll try to get that in this week
I also picked up an AEM Trueboost gauge. It was expensive, but I really like that it comes with a peak boost recall. I don't want to be staring down at a gauge at redline. Plus the gloss black will match my piano black trim I like beedub's stack pro gauges, similarly priced, but I slightly prefer the look of the aem one plus it was available at a local shop for pickup

Great news, I unplugged the rear o2 sensors and egt which were hanging in the air, and the car is throwing no codes and not running into limp mode, even at 8000rpm. Idle isn't perfectly smooth, but the ecu might need time to adapt, or I'll weld in the rear o2s and egt if it does not. Car feels very strong up top, hoping to dyno it this weekend.
So basically there was nothing wrong with the kit, or install. Just some bad luck with the guy who installed my euro headers with the sensors all backwards I'd like to mount it in the coin tray area, even temporarily, since thats where the permanent install would be, and I'd only be running the wires/hoses once It looks like this, and you can change the surround to silver and the face to white, but I'm staying with all black

That makes sense as the secondary O2s check and verify the primary, so having them plugged in would indicate a failure to the car.
Very glad your setup appears to be performing as expected, please do get that dyno as soon as you can!!! |

Today the rear o2s and egt are supposed to get welded in. Then I'll check my boost levels, and if I'm hitting near 8, I'll go to the dyno
I'll also update the first post with the thread summary, so people aren't hunting through 6 pages of nothing

hitting 8psi, but it looks like the tune is off or something. Could not get the A/F readings because of the shop's tech issues

adaptions need to be reset in your case, youve had some much time driving without the correct o2 sensors in place, your car has probably tried to adapt the best way possible, with your o2 sensor and egt in place reset adaptions and light up the rears :-)
8psi... your car will haul ass once its running properly....

AJ also told my shop to check the spark plugs.

So is 370rwhp what we're supposed to see @ 8lbs of boost? I thought it was much more? You'll keep putting down more power once things adjust... But what can be expected?

the kit @ 7psi should make like 415-420 rwhp.....
remember 8psi isnt a number we should be seeing but some of us are are, my dyno showed 450rwhp... i also recently had insp 2 and had the plugs to be changed :-) did ess recommend a cooler plug??? i stuck with stock plugs. every service for me now is a pretty thorough affair with valve clearances done every time, im looking into okada coils for when my stockers cant handle it any more.

iphone and tom have had some really complicated issues to deal with, luckily my sub 10k mile car had all the correct euro exhaust parts already, and the motor took to it very well, any issues were install problems, VT1 for me was a breaze, i installed it and forgot about it, litterally, the vt2 kit again for reliability wise i installed it and forgot about it, i do lots of every drive checks to keep and eye on things but im getting solid, smooth power. im prayng these guys iron out these issues asap, their are many of us that have installed with little to no problems, the latest owner jmb600 i think his name was just had vt2 installed @ ind (lots of Ess experience) and isnt reporting one issue and the kit made advertised power. what mileage are you @ tom? i cant see plugs making a massive difference unless they are shot. byron

39k miles. about 800 miles on the kit so far
they could be shot since the sensors were installed wrong, I was probably running rich Also-getting into limp mode because of a throttle position sensor code, even though from what I can seethe throttles move freely. Oddly enough, it didn't happen on the dyno

vt2 with 110 will work very well...... this tune is very fuel sensitive and pulls timing at the smallest hint of a problem, good fuel brings it alive.
