Hadn't seen this thread before!
I'm 32 can't believe it!!! Well I'm an industrial designer, graduated from CCS in Detroit in transportation design, so basically I went to school to learn to draw what we drive, I'm a conceptual artist designing the future of automobiles lol ..... Left Detroit during the collapse of the auto industry and now work at Navistar here in Chicago designing the future of commercial trucks and such ..... My latest project I've worked on is the new CAT truck that can be seen at www.drivecat.com, I was the interior designer for the truck, and am now working on some new concepts for the exterior so pretty fun job all in all. Still miss designing fast cars though |

41 here, bought my 07 Z4MC back in May as a gift after retiring from the Air Force (23 years). Continue to work for the DOD. Initial plan was a 335IS, but then came across older, low cost Z4 verts, but then found a local Coupe on Craigslist. That blew me away, wife said yes, here I am.

50 yr old retired trophy wife. I love the BMW ride--previously owned 2 5 series. 4 yrs ago my husband talked me into getting the Z4 coupe. Took me awhile to get used to bumpy ride and small cabin. Now I love it!! It is now out of warranty, husband nagging me about trading it in--no way.

just turned 25, supervisor for our payroll compliance dept. doing audits for various labor union benefit funds.
my 1st car was a '00 328i which I traded in for the Z4 on 2/12. It is my daily driver and puts a on my face every time i drive it. I don't think I will ever stray from BMW.

43 yrs old.
Physician. Just bought 2007 Sepang Bronze M coupe 3 weeks ago, I guess that is a midlife crisis car - as long as I make 86. Luuvving the car! Already think about all of those things....exhaust...19" wheels.....etc. Previously had bought a 77MGB that was left for dead in a pasture with a for sale sign on it. Bought a second one as well and made one crappy drive around car and one that was really nice at the end. Lots of mechanical oop's along the way, but was very fun. next was a 2006 Mini Cooper S with some JCW engine mods. Loved that car too. . Got a horrible ticket during a moment of adolescent madness, showing a guy in a Z-71 pick-up that my little car he was laughing at at the stop-light was actually pretty fast. Consolation 1) he got a ticket too and I was ahead... hee-hee. 2) Cop was quite gracious and did not give a "street racing" ticket. Thank god! Went to bad-boy traffic class and got it erased. Love the M coupe. Makes me smile every time I get in it, and love this website! |

61 - small town attorney. My first car was a '63 Corvair Spyder convertible (I think I paid $700 for it out my hard earned wages as bag boy at the local supermarket). My first car after graduation from law school was an MGB - loved that car! Then came children so the two seater had to go. After that, it was a series of "family" cars for too many years. Bought my Z4 about 3 years ago and love it! It is now my DD. Put the top down every chance I get and, thanks to the mild winter of last, only had to park it for about a week.

Yep!. About 300 miles at purchase, 650 on arrival in Omaha. Now about 1050. This car doesn't know what happened to it, now that somebody is sitting in it nearly every day. |

Haha, not insinuating anything with this but you just made me remember a funny stand up bit.
"My friend just got himself a trophy wife... It just wasn't first place." -Probably Tosh?
