It means tapping into that lovely intake manifold of yours, however once it's done, it's done. Example: $0.02 |

yeah this way is great but it changes the ball game... when you inject meth mixed with water this close to the intake i.e AT the manifold your using it as fuel..... when you use it as fuel you need a tune that takes account of that... when you need a tune to take account of the meth you always have to run meth, so if your running at WOT on a meth dependant tune, and say the meth runs out, or the pump fails you engine will most like det to fuck and blow..... the way we use meth/water is to spray well away from the intake so by the time its got to the intake mani all is doing is cooling charge... this way we dont need any new tune, its till the stock s/c tune but the ecu is seeing a icey cool intake charge giving up more time and more power/Tq... if out meth tank runs dry??? no probs the car just carries on as normal..... so basically for us intercooled guys its like running in 5 deg c chilly winters yet in reality the outside temp could be 30 deg C..... meth dependant tunes are a complete ballache...... so theirs 2 ways, the cooling charge temp way... or using it as a fuel suppliment...... using it as a charge cooler is a simply bolt in job.........tuning for meth is great on a race car or a car that can switch tunes but on a single tune car.... its way to risky imo..... To use meth as a charge cooler not a fuel you need an Air to Air intercooler.....you need to spray as far from the intake manifold as possible on the outlet side of the intercooler......it also jet steams your engine internals and keep them superclean as bythe time its reached the intake is just vapour....

I appreciate what your saying, but the OP doesn't have a myriad of options if he wants to run a water/meth system. Anyone spending this type of $$$ is going to be super anal about everything. There'll be failsafes in place and they will always be aware of his/her fluid levels. No one is re-inventibg the wheel here, however getting a decent tune is the real question. I'm a huge fan of these systems since having it on my built B20 Volvo 142.

you made me disappointed becoz it's a whole headache for me without the air intercooler. really interested to get that system but I might have failure and that could harm the engine very hard and also may coz engine blown and I really love this car dont wanna make stupid thing looking for power then I'll loose everything. if I couldnt make it safe I won't even think about it.

guys wanna ask you did anybody change his clutch to after market one which hold the power you guys make. with a high TQ I could imagine the OEM clutch won't hold will slip. Yesterday I gave the car hard test and felt stupid actually that time . I push the car hard in the 3er Gear and the clutch did slip I just hate the smell of the clutch burning. I'll be going for a list of thing I'm going to upgrade:
1.Fuel Pump. 2.Clutch. 3.Coils. This is the most important thing I'll change. maybe I'll go with 4.10 or 3.91 diff. other thing like Coilovers and Brake system.

I don't have any clutch issues, and neither does anyone else with this kit on this forum. You probably have a little more torque than us, but a stock clutch that has been used without abuse should still be able to handle things . Use the opportunity to upgrade to a stronger clutch AND a lightweight flywheel. I haven't researched the options yet, so I can't make reccomendations
I was also considering upgrading my diff, but it will make traction even worse in 1st gear

Im with you on the fuel pump and coils, i think this is definatly something that should be done, luckily on my low mileage car, its not to much of a big deal but fuel pump wise drop HPF an email... they'll have a complete drop in solution for you and they also have a proper sleeve to allow these to sit in the stock locations.... okada coils are about as good as it gets for our cars but are insanely expensive...... any news from g-power :-)

Re the flywheel, email gpower, i think you'l find that they tell you to leave the flywheel well, alone ;-) i certainly wont be doing flywheel upgrades, i would like an uprated stage 1 clutch however and will buy one in and get it shipped over .... still i think i may get another 15k miles from mine..... if im lucky!! yup traction SUCKS, i get nothing in first, crap in second, by thirds its hooking up...... if you leave Traction control on, the car goes nowhere, literally nowhere as the stock traction control just kills all power....

I don't know much about aftermarket flywheels for this specific car. I didn't research it yet, but I don't see how it would affect the tuning...
What kind of tires are you running? 285 is pretty wide! Try lowering the tire pressure to 30PSI, or even 28PSI. Also, an aggressive rear alignment will decrease traction in the back, I'm at -2.5* and I will soon change to stock or even -1* camber in the back

iron forget all these massively wide tyres, drop in a proper road legal slick, like the ps cups and a 265 section will have MORE than enough for anything your car can throw at it.... downsize to an lightweight 18-19" and revel in much better traction and response, in reality the 19" lightweight options are that good now and as light as the 18s, you can still retain good looks and have a great, responsive vehicle...
