Hi all, Refreshing this thread as it has been a few months.
Has anyone heard when these will be available for 18's? I will need to replace my OEM staggered setup on my '16 428i GC soon, and I am hoping to hold off long enough to try these out. If not, I'll probably go with Pilot Super Sports. Thanks for any insight you can provide. |

Will these last longer than the PSS? PSS' 300 treadwear rating is a joke, two sets wore out just as quick as the previous PS2.
The traction test should be alongside a Dunlop star spec and Bridgestone RE71R instead of tires that the PSS already is ahead of.

Feel PSS is already overkill on most cars. Glad Mich is looking into making them grip better for those of us with serious reaction issues though.

It's on their US site now, albeit not a lot of information on that page currently:

Experience added miles of exhilarating drives with 9% better treadlife than the MICHELIN® PILOT® Super Sport. 4 MICHELIN® Total Performance™ overcomes the usual tradeoff of wear for grip to deliver both incredible traction and improved tread life. So sounds like they will last longer, but not much. |

Is this tire made in any kind of acceptable size range? Tirerack has 3 sizes listed. 3.
If true, the only grip it delivers is unicorn grip.

Lmfao, that shit had me rolling. I believe theres much more sizes available, just not listed on Tirerack. I've heard some great things about the Sportcontact 6's. But doesn't mean much, because I'm fairly certain they don't make them in my sizes. ( Comp pack 20's @ 265/30 & 285/30 respectively ) . Which leaves me to the mercy of Michelin . And its about time they make a new flagship tire, they are quite behind the competition these days. As far as extreme performance street tires go. Dry grip needs to improve, biggest issue with the current PSS . I'm fine with tread wear, wet drip, feedback could be a bit better, but I think thats more of an M problem than a tire problem. I really hope the new PS4S fall right between the current Super Sports and cup 2's. And waiting for some independents reviews and comparos. Not really one to fall for fancy graphs and numbers from the marketing geniuses at Michellin

You must have missed this: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...&postcount=129 Also, a forum member in Nevada sold an OEM size set off his 437m F8x in the Classified section last month. Last edited by Kabrich; 01-20-2017 at 04:11 PM.. |

No 265/30 at the moment, but considering 5P comes in that size (and other sizes come in /30, I suspect that it will come out. Last edited by Kabrich; 01-20-2017 at 04:12 PM.. |

Me, I've seen that list already... your just clarifying 2 points that I already made in my previous post. That they don't come in ZCP size yet, well the Rear yeah but not the Front (30 profile ) . And that Tirerack does not have all the sizes listed. fyi, I was agreeing with you and laughing at his unicorn grip comment I mean are you running the Sportcontact 6's right now, so you have a need to defend them or what is it... I will reserve judgement until both are officially released with independent reviews, and some forum member insight. I'm at about 6k miles on my current PSS, so timing wise should be perfect, for a new set of rubber in about 4 or 5 months.

You mean like all the posts defending the MPS4S which no one is running while bashing the SC6 which are out and on BMWs after having won all the 2016 Independent TestS in Europe over the MPSS, even with many posts preferring the RE-11 over the MPSS by many f8x owners on the forum?

Upcoming Independent reviews will not test a Summer tire against an All Season tire either. You have to decide what type Tire category you want to look at. |
