It is an annoying sound, though I don't put the seat back there myself. Oddly, they always move it all the way back at the car wash, despite no one working there being close to my height, much less taller.

I have my seat all the way back as well and don't really notice any sounds. Sometimes I get a little squeak going over a large bump but thats about it. Plus with radio on, tire noise, windows down, etc its even less noticeable.

I'm new to this world / class of cars coming from a 240sx. But the M3 seems like a mean car but at the same time very sophisticated. Somewhat of a sleeper IMHO if my .02 counts. =/

Here is a little update. I have put on lowering springs, performance shift knob, front blue reflectors, matte black front grills, and Volks. Sorry, just iPhone pics in the rain..
Next up/going on is tint, Akrym front lip, blacked out front and rear emblems, LCI taillights (dealer is replacing these under warranty) coilovers.... Tax return is going to a new KRISS K10 SBR and another Super V...

Nice looking car! Now that some of the mods are done, are you less inclined to second guess your switch from the Z4MC?

I was at the dealer the other day getting my lifters swapped out and had a chance to look at the sDrive closer. It looks nice, but for some reason, I still prefer the e85/e86 look. Maybe I'm just falling in love more with my car...

I really like the E89 35is 6 speed with the turbo. I saw a nice slammed white one and it looked so good. Sucks theres no E89 M with 400 hp. I would be all over it.

Agree. Last summer, was at a BMW focus group driving day with the M brand manager for BMW NA, and one of the cars we drove was the new Z4 3.5is, in addition to the 1 series M and the X6M. We BEGGED that manager to push for an E89M. Maybe even get rid of the drop top roof and make it out of CF.
He was saying that true 2 seaters don't do as well here in the US, that this market prefers 4 seats or 2+2's, hence no M focus on the E89. Well, atleast Roundel Mag this month eluded to new rumors that one might still come out. That said, I still think the E86 looks amazing all around, and its so damn unique. Anyway, Your M3 looks great. Glad to hear youre enjoying it more. No Remorse!

Nice. Cool design, but I think it is kind of pointless when it is semi auto only (can't fully realize the recoil reduction system). Looks great with the Eotech though.

I have owned 3 KRISS carbines and they are really accurate, even in semi-auto mode.

I am wanting a real E89 M Coupe. BMW never made one and I would want it stock at 400hp with NO boost.

Car looks great, I think. I'd be happy with that or an MC. Nice gun. Looks like something special forces would be using. Then again, I don't know much about guns. I've only gone target practicing with my dad using rifles and shotguns. My tax return is going to my kids' 529 plan. How priorities change when you're married and with kids.

Anyway still thinking of either getting back and trying a Z4MR/Z4MC or Lotus Evora at this point. Kinda wanting something different.

Thanks.
Hopefully after 3 months of ownership I can get out of this M3. I honestly don't like the M3 at all. Lacks a few things I need. I just can't get past the looks of the car. I have put 300 miles on it since Dec. I don't even like driving it anymore. Anyway... I hopefully will be moving on to Porsche. I like the Cayman R right now or S in black edition. I want a white or silver Porsche with suspension and Magnesium Blue Volks at this point and will not except anything less. BMW falls short as they have no super car at this point. I love my X5 though!
