I love pushing the car to the limits, that is the reason I bought it and definitely tuning it up. It has no meaning having a beast and just keeping it inside a cage right? lol!! Up to now nothing has broken yet but I know what you mean… I am always have the same feeling too!! That is why I am very consistent with servicing and thoroughly checking the car by all aspects. During normal Greek weather conditions 15-32C car is performing well. If you keep on pushing it to the limits above that heat soak eventually shows up start losing power but without affecting drivability. Byron it will be very nice of you to open a thread with your experience with water/meth injection kit. Your guidance has always been inspiration for many of us and will help a lot shorting out the ‘’chapter called heat soak’’. Cheers Nikitas |

According to my experience s/c has not changed at all this feeling; S54 engine characteristics; and just brought the car to another level being able to compete with the big boys, like swapping to a V8 engine. The only downside going with CSL airbox & cams that I see (some people may argue with that) is that the power to money ratio is very very low comparing it with s/c. Of course this is only my way of thinking. I would be more than happy to meet when I am back from my business trip. PM me for more details Thanks Nikitas |

Water meth.... nice and simple...
smallest nozzle placed as right after the intercooler OUTLET ( it'll be nicely atomised by the time it reaches the Throttle bodies) .... spray at around 5psi -9psi boost pressure, on REALLY hot days the car with not heat soak and perform like its 15 Deg C outside... for me here in the UK it just wasn't needed in the end.... the weather is cool enough most of the time and the car like yours is in RUDE health, i love this thing. Never leaving me unless i go bankrupt.

FYI, it's recommended to install the nozzle within 6 inches of the manifold/throttle body. It atomizes instantly with the amount of air coming in during boost. Mine starts at 10% at 4 pounds and sprays 100% at 8 pounds. Mid range power difference is like a Honda vtec. Gets up to red line so so quickly. Looking to go back to the dyno soon and see how close to 500 whp it's at. Setup wasn't bad... Intake tube is so thin that i had to re-do the tap and thread the nozzle in about 3 turns inside the intake for it to be stable enough to not fail. |

.02cents I had a vacuum/boost leak where I had drilled and tapped on my VF kit. Smeared a bit of RTV sealant around the nozzle and the leak disappeared.

As usual I will put my car on the dyno to assure proper w/m tuning and confirm gains if any. In addition a 100-200km/hr test run will clear out any doupts. Csa225 when available please put some dyno graphs and pictures of W/M kit set up. It will be really nice to see the gains before and after.... Today before the -5 Celsius degrees and the heavy snow hits downtown Athens, I had the opportunity to meet with Nikitas in person and take a coffee together.
He is "crazy" about his car and that is the reason why his car is such a beauty and still like new. I have seen most of the Z4 Ms in Greece, but this was like new. Xmm and then comes the ride with his car. It was the first time that I have a ride with Z4M with compressor. To keep it short, the car is a beast. It was like being on a different car, and imagine that we hadn't the opportunity due of the traffic to see what this beast really can do. Also I have to say that Nikitas is a very very good driver. Nikita many thanks for the drive and the experience. Your car is amazing and I am glad that I met you :thump: Last edited by FD3S; 01-07-2017 at 03:32 PM.. |

Thanks mate for your good words, it was a pleasure meeting you. I am so glad that you enjoyed it. I will try to support you through your project and surely your car will become a beauty Weather permits we will arrange a drive at night to push the car to the limits and race some of the big boys. Byron we have to arrange a gathering somewhere in Europe, it will be so nice!!! Now some small update about the car. Engine mounts Vibra technics competition installed. Engine is finally stable. Only small vibration when car is running at idle. Very happy with the result. ESS SC brace installed. Not an easy task, as power steering fluids had to be drained.... very tight fit!! As during tracking the car I had seen some drops under the bonet from power steering fluid decided to proceed with the installation of a type of a ''catch can'' taken from a motorbike brake tank on the following configuration. At last no need to worry about cleaning the bonet..... Next week I will proceed with oil catch can, de-cat and new custom made back boxes. RPI will be for sale soon. Hope I will like the new sound as RPI was so nice to my ears…. Last edited by Nikitas_Z4mcoupe; 01-08-2017 at 04:04 AM.. |

As scheduled finally running the car decat with a new custom made exhaust system. Couldnt keep the rpi as the car would be very loud and not really matching my taste. Few pics below, hope you like it guys.....
Rpi's will be for sale soon. Performance wise now, the cars is defenetly running stronger with keeping the exhaust gas temperature lower. Also noticed that oil temperature is running considerable lower. Seems that the engine is not stressed so much. Didnt have the chance to dyno it yet but did some 100-200 pulls at the same location and same conditions as before going decat and there is a reduction of almost 0.5 sec. Very happy with the result!!!! Video below........ |

This car is indeed a beast and is getting better and better and I don't know where it will stop. Great job as usual Nikitas.
After I come back from Cyprus, I hope that I will have finished my car mods and we will meet to see the exhausts in person. |

Dionysis you are most welcome anytime!! Byron, I will try to post some outside videos. The sound of the car is improved being quiter at normal driving but giving a deaper and clearer M-power 6 cylinder sound, with only some drone at 2000rpm. At last I can listen to my SC engine..... When pushing the car to the limits at every gear change there is a 'bang' probably giving some flames..... Really pleased |

100-200kph in about 7 sec...
Thats really fast. (an m4 does it in ~9,5sec) Have you ever tried to measure it with a 10hz gps mouse to get an accurate reading? That would be interesting. A lot of people focus on 0-100kph (or 0-60mph) but that has become totally irrelevant as cars get so much power that awd is essential to get a fast time in that range in real world applications.
