I have aFe intake, EURO headers, stock US Spipe with the cats in them, stock xpipe with resonator, Rogue engineering el Diablo.
Tons of gargles Pretty loud setup Drone is horrible but i never let my car stay under 3K RPM (DKF hangers on the way + sound proofing the trunk with some ISO underfloor after performing a study on the highest resonance point in the trunk), I will also put the absorbing material w extreme high heat resistance on the muffler itself from the outside. Sound: Wailing, lambo(gallardo)-ish, banshee sound is there up until 6K RPM, then from 6K RPM till 8K RPM, the banshee transforms into a banshee ... that is being violated ... while falling from a cliff ... and there are crocodiles in the lake ... with lasers and pickaxes waiting to devour the banshee I hope you get the idea that between 6K-8K RPM, i have never ever heard a more beautiful sound in my life, including a lambo reventon, my favorite sound. Maybe a CSL with straight pipes might sound a tiny bit better but I doubt that. |

Thanks for the videos guys! Was checking this everyday after the first post and almost though the video wont be ever posted .. so thanks again for doing this.
Atm I'm deciding between SS Race and Eisenmann Race, wanted to get the Eisenmann but in the video the SS Race with the X-pipe sounded really nice! I'm looking for groooooowl, I know I wont get the grown of big V8, but I was driving recently with my mate who had 430 Scuderia and that car sounded like woooooooot |

Well...figure it's been about a year since the first custom set up with the generic resonators...so time for a change.
Got two Aero Turbine AT2525's and two AR25's in the mail today. Going to get them installed next Saturday along with the DKF hangers that have been sitting in my drawer at work for what seems like an eternity. Let's hope this one sounds good! |

He's right, went in to get it built and we found out that the AR25's were just a tiny bit too long (too close for comfort to suspension components and that structural plate), so I had to return those and get different resonators. Still going to use the AT2525's, but now am going to go with some generic brand 9" long resonators (AR25's were about 12") in the X pipe section. I've just been busy though so would have done it sooner but new plan is to go in on the 9th which is a few Saturdays from now. Plan is to build a custom X Pipe by removing the OEM resonating section and installing the straight through resonators further back toward the car, closer to the mufflers, then the two AT2525's at the end finished off with some dual slant cut staggered 3.5" tips that have been hi temp powder coated black. Also mounting the mufflers with the DKF hangers. Hopefully this will keep the aggressive tone while cutting down some drone and vibration since I plan on installing my EU headers later in May/June. |

mfanatic325 et al, there's a chance i might move to a Supersprint X-Pipe and Race mufflers from my mufflers only RPI's (Euro car). How does it compare in terms of volume, drone etc? Ideally i'd like something just a little more sensible than the RPI's. After 3+ years of daily driving them i'm ready for something different.

Depends what you're after. Remus and Eisennman do not drone, neither does Stromung or SS Powerloop. Pair those with a Rogue Xpipe and it's a good match. |

The Supersprint and SS Xpipe have very little to no rasp. But it does drone. Not as much as the RPI though--but what does? The RE-Xpipe has a bit of rasp in the higher RPMs, but only in a small range of RPM. There's an opinions section on each setup in the link in the OP where folks wrote out their opinions and observations after hearing each system: Full Spreadsheet and Comments. That's going to be a better reflection, since it was a year ago, and my first hand recollections are a bit rusty. Let me know if there are problems with the link. |

^ Finnegan told me on the Facebook group that it was probably your car that I saw/heard while in SF, and it sounded marvelous. I don't know know if it was the new setup or the old one. But yes, exhaust fest '13, please!
