First of all, to everyone that replied to my post, thank you all so much for taking the time to answer, I appreciate each and every response.

talking to strangers is something I plan to work on whether I ask out girls or not though I think I basically need to increase my social circle, but sometimes I just don't seem to enjoy what the locals enjoy (going to a cafe to get drunk - I can't stand much alcohol) Quote:

The thing with confidence is that I think it comes with success, and that's why I plan on talking to strangers as much as possible. I'll slowly get better at striking up a conversation with any random guy or girl, so I'll naturally be more at ease when in a social situation. At the moment I'm too nervous in the presence of someone I'm attracted to, to be "confident" and "charming", and that's what I'm trying to change. Last edited by shiyan; 02-20-2008 at 05:02 PM.. |

ZGirl and other GP Fans.
Montreal is a Great City and you should have a blast!!! I find that Montreal is more like a European City while Toronto is like a safer Chicago with less culture I know you Leaf fans are going to flame me, but I lived in the Big Smoke for two years and it's one of the last cities in Canada I would ever live in. Back to Montreal, it's likely the best weekend of the year. However, it's nuts! I usually go for a day of qualifying and then go to the Vieux Montreal section for dinner (and watch all the gorgeous women and cars go by (my favourite two things to watch). Then I get the hell out of town before the real party starts.

After a few years, I find the qualifying more interesting that the race itself. You get to walk around and see more. Race day is just a spectacle...but that's good in it's own way.
As for cute guys...I don't think that will be a problem...races always brings guys out in hords. You should go up to Montreal for the weekend (or more) for the city itself!

the "what"!
Fries, gravy and cheese curds. Quebec classic. In Canada we call it a poutine (*poo-teen*) If you're coming to Canada, that's a must try food. Especially in Quebec. You can even get a Poutine at the Canadian Costcos... But I say when you hit up the local dive bars, get a Poutine to try.
