Just rediscovered Micky Spillane's Mike Hammer, the old and Stacy Keach versions. Also the spoof, Sledge Hammer.

We started this as well. Seems very good for a network show. Not sure how they get more than one season out of it if that’s the plan. Maybe it’s a network limited series.

Been a fun watch so far…however, Season 2, E4, just ramped this up quite a bit. I’m really enjoying this now.

Can't believe I just discovered this one (Spartacus). Wow, what a 1st episode. Apparently, the sequel House of Ashur isn't so hot but this one looks great.

Master of the Air. Honestly, though,...not really digging it. That's coming from a WWII geek that is into the air campaigns. Feels like the apple fell far from Band of Brothers and The Pacific, both of which I can watch over and over again (incl the flight I'm about to get on).

I enjoyed Masters of the Air. I don't recall if I liked it from the start or if it took a couple episodes. However it does not compare to Band of Brothers. I just had to look it up right now to see it was created by the same people as BoB.

Anyways we watched Goliath while waiting for more Fallout and enjoyed season 1 so started season 2.... yeah.... I dunno wtf is going on now. Too invested now so will finish it but definitely nothing like season 1.

Cinematography and acting is fine. It just seems like they're trying to cram too much into a shorter series thereby causing it to be disconnected and lack depth. I'm on ep9, the last episode and they just casually dropped in the Tuskgegee airmen as part of ep8. At least give them some backstory!

Everything is shorter now I feel. I look at some of the older series and a season has 12+ hour long episodes. Most of the stuff now is 6-8 episodes maybe and usually 35-45min.

Watched the first season of the Night Manager last week and have started the second season now. My wife managed to stay awake for most of it which is a ringing endorsement.

Wife/I watched the first 2 episodes Sunday, but didn't make it to the live ep. 3 that night. Certainly echo your feelings on ep 1, but still not sure after ep 2. Watching the recap after each ep surely helps with the directors telling you what they were trying to accomplish.

If they ever finish it. I think I'm just going wait until it concludes before watching it again. I'd gladly have taken shorter but more frequent seasons.

Ya, that meme of that runaway truck about to hit the wall and they keep doing different angles and they never collide. Perfect analogy for s2 lol. Yup, they should stop stretching it and just get to the good stuff!

Just finished it last night. It was mediocre for me. Want to kill some time? Check. Looked forward to the next episode? Not so much. It was fine enough but not something I would rewatch.

Was filmed in my neck of the woods so hopefully the scenery was good at least. I remember seeing random Franco sightings pop up when they were filming.

Still never watched it, might take your advice for some background noise.

I wasn’t happy with the ending of this season. It is a good series about British intelligence.
