Barattza makes a nice burr grinder. I have the setter 270 for espresso, but the encore is solid for a range of drips and opening price espresso grinder

You can probably find a refurbished new one from their online store.

Lelit Bianca V3 for me and Eureka Oro Mignon XL Grinder and very happy with both. The Lelit V3 has proved to be a great product for the price.

I guess my morning cup of Maxwell House Original Roast Instant Coffee is a little out of my league in this discussion

A few options on coffee, the standard coffee machine is tucked away in a cabinet.

I decided to launch an idea I've had to combine my mechanical engineering, love for espresso, and love of the automotive industry; automotive themed espresso cup (or shot glasses)

Bringing a little joy to each morning:

I second the aeropress. Surprised there aren’t more Aeropress guys here. Cheap and does a very good espresso hack with a good beans and a burr grinder.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d love a high quality espresso machine, but too many car parts to buy these days for the projects. Some day. I also enjoy my local coffee shop, which scratches the high quality espresso/latte itch for the time being.

Have two of them....love them, but ran out of filters and just haven't picked any up lately....this is a good reminder to just go get some.

This is a cool idea. Approximately what size shot are we looking at for these? Typical shot is 18g - I run 36g usually.

And "He did what in his cup?"

Fellow makes a great metal filter insert, along with a new bottom piece that has a valve in it which allows you to fill the aeropress and it won’t leak until you start plunging. I use this with a paper filter on top of the grounds, which are at a very coarse espresso grind, and tamped down for a reasonable espresso hack. It takes a good deal more pressure however to get the elixir flowing!

The inversion method works too. No need to buy anything.

Lug nut is 1.7oz or one shot (American shot 1.5oz) so can also be used for alcohol at night.

Piston 2.7oz or double shot.

Shoot your shot, then measure how many milliliters or ounces.
