mine for reference Azeka,
That's with rollbar, rear and front Stb (back one is heavy) big battery in the boot, (11lbs one on the way) and door cards in place. Lol and full fuel. so half tank would be minus 20 kgs or so. if I take -33 lbs for the huge batt for brallie swap out.. (I also have the 15lbs one) installed a week or 2 ago. 33/2.2= -15kgs.. would bring mine to 1376 kgs.. that's 3027 lbs. Intrested in how you installed the new batt, I umed and arred a long time before finally placing the new batt and its holder. i /did/ however pull the whole radio/nav thing bit out though..

As a point of clarification, my corner weights include a 150lb ballast for driver (Will update my post). With regards to the Braille Battery, I used a Macht Schnell mount for E92, fits perfectly.

For reference:
My z4 non-M coupe 3160lb fulltank gas 1gal water/meth in rear 52.3% front 47.6% rear 9lb braile in rear 2jz up front no cage, race seats all amenities (AC, lcd-screen nav/radio, speakers, heavy wood-grain dash panels) every time I reduce weight, seems to be from the rear. There is more I can remove, but I don't want to make the front/rear balance worse. Planning a cage soon, 40lb more to the rear I guess.

Anyone have the weights of their dash panels? Looking for wood, aluminum and carbon variants to add here.

Adding another data point. Some of you may find this interesting as I'm supercharged
Z4m coupe 3/4 tank A few mods that probably effect weight Recaros and fixed seats Euro headers, catless section 1, with RPIs Arc8s (18x10s) Ltw 12lb battery Vf570 (or what started out as that) Dual 25 row oil coolers (replaced oem) (+1.5L oil) Massive 2.5 gal ATW heat exchanger (3x bigger then oem vf) (+35lbs hanging off the front of the car when filled) 3241lbs with driver (185lbs). Definitely need to corner balance, but playing with tire sizes and waiting for an alignment first. Honestly thought I'd be closer to 3300 with the blower and auxiliary supporting mods. What amazes me is our little cars are pretty damn heavy compared to larger body vehicles (my stock ish e46 m3 for instance is 3450 with me in it, and I can more easily take out 350lbs if I went full race mode, where as removing weight gets asymptotically difficult in our cars due to the size). I guess that's what we pay for with the chassis torsional rigidity. |

Well done Vanne!
What do the new GT2 mirrors weigh?? Removing 6.6 lbs (minus the replacement mirrors) from the upper area of the vehicle has a very positive effect on the center of gravity (CG).

Wowie!
500 grams = 1.1 lbs 6.6 minus 1.1 = a 5.5 lbs savings....that's considerable based upon the location of the weight!

Since you’ve already removed the dash, just remove the dash bar and pull the lump out. In the engine bay, just remove the components. You will need to plug the aluminum tube that feeds the heater core and also plug the steel return tube. I removed them and had a local shop TIG weld caps. I made a small aluminum plate to block the holes in the firewall.
