I see that you did the flooring in your garage, is there anything else in there worth showing off? I'm always a sucker for garage pics.

^ how is it working on the tiles with jack stands etc?
I went the epoxy route in my garage because I was worried about using jack stands ad jacks on the rubbery type tiles.

I use round base jack stands. I have 1/4" metal plates I slip under the jack anytime I use it. Works great. Replaced a few motors in there, had a few sitting on motor stands, did some exhaust and front mount welding, all the tiles still holding up well. Had tons of stuff drop on them, no issues. You just have to be careful. Also, in winter, these really keep the floor warm.

I don't know about that, its looks pretty good to me. You'd be surprised how much of a difference you can get by painting the walls a fun color. Just did mine in a color called "Mac & Cheese" and my brothers in orange.
I'd love to have that much space |

Its a tight two car, barely enough room for a DIYer like me. I thought about other colors, but bright white walls with proper illumination really brightens up the garage, enough that I can work without any drop lights!
Problem with the tiles is that direct sunlight will cause them to warp within 20 minutes. They begin to lift up. Obviously they drop right back down fairly quickly, but I would have preferred paint if I did it again...

QUOTE] For $50 a piece, I hung 2 of these in my garage and it made a WORLD of difference. Easy as hell to install and transforms the space. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Lithonia-...q#.UYLO_iTD9aQ We put 4 in the other garage (also a single car) and the effect that so much more light has is remarkable. In both cases, we replaced the existing overhead light fixture with a 4-oultet box to plug these into, so that the existing switch would still do its job |

Snapped this photo yesterday after a 200mi+ drive from San Francisco down the 1 to Carmel-by-the-Sea, and back up the 101.
Jet Black is tough to keep clean, but when it is, it's really nice. |

iPhone 4S. No editing cause I'm lazy. Should have closed the door in the background though.
Edit: I decided I like this second one better...except for my shadow.

My California geography is terrible but I believe I took that same route when I want from SF to Monterey, ended up doing a one day Barber school at Laguna the following day. One of the best drives I've done on public roads.
