Here's a picture of the 2005 BMW R1200GS that I had up until a year ago. It was a terrific bike and would go just about anywhere. It was also very comfortable for the long haul.
Rick F. PS: Yes, that's snow that I rode through to get this picture... |

Don't have a picture but I have an 08 BMW GSA to go where the Z-does not like to go.
Besides I saved a lot of money because I only had to buy one hat with the BMW logo on it that serves both the bike and the car. I am so practical I amaze me. |

nice choice, personally not a fan of the cyclops headlight but the thing is a torque beast. after i sold my r6, i was considering the 749 dark and daytona 675... i chose the latter. be sure to post pics of the new ride soon!

ok, i've learned a lot more about my car from all the info. you guys shared ....and that's how i find out about the 'clicking' noise my car makes....it was the loosen bolt from the strut/tower bar.....
then i came across with this very interesting thread....loved it. and thought i should contribute as well..... |

Good choice. The maintenance on the 749 is mind-bending in comparison. The 675 has almost as much torque with none of the un-reliability & constant maintenance costs as would the 749. I love the 748 (non cyclops headlight, just like the 916) but the horror stories of ownership really scared me away from EVER owning a Duc. For how much they cost (and cost to operate) VS. How they perform, Im amazed their as popular as they are in general

Low miles. Good front wheel with no flat spots. Had an old Yamaha FZ600 but three skin graphs later I had to stick with this.......Im old but young at heart...
