i just installed mine this weekend (coupe). i went with stock 10k springs up front and stock 12k springs in the back, and it's very comfortable, but stiff. i'm really happy with the ride quality. it feels better than most coilovers i've ridden in the past. |

8k in the front and 10k in the rear is what is recommended for the e85/e86 z4m platform. it's all about what YOU want. 8k and 10k will probably give you a very close to z4m stock suspension feel. however, i went 2k more for front and back, and i still feel like it's a very comfortable ride. i'm very happy with the way it all turned out. http://www.fortune-auto.com/fortune5...scoilovers.htm Last edited by p1nk50ck; 03-24-2014 at 02:37 PM.. |

so just an update, the fortune 500's didn't go low enough, i'm maxed out all the way down, and i still have a little under an inch gap between my tire and my fender (with a 5 mm spacer on the stock wheel).
However, after a short conversation with the guys over at fortune, they sent me over a set of "e36 m3 super low" bottom mounts, which should solve the problem. |

however, i do place a bit of this on myself, since they asked if i wanted to be super low, which i said i didn't want to be all stanced out. however, after i was done, i wasn't really happy with the drop. |

Where did you order from? I wasn't given this option when I ordered mine. That drop looks very conservative like an 1 inch all around. I'm surprised? I heard that these coils can drop pretty low compared to H&R coils.

Just got my Fortune Auto Series 500's today. These things look great! I got the 9k/11k combo with upgraded radial bearing and springs. Looks like I have the standard mounts not the short ones as p1nk50ck has mentioned. Has anyone had issues not being able to be "low" enough on 19's? Going to install these this weekend, hoping I wont have the issue of needing a different bottom mount.

Also did anyone get Dyno shock test printouts with their coils?

I'm kinda shocked that fortune is still selling their coils with the wrong mounts. When I physically went there to have them sort out their issues, they admitted their standard springs are too tall with the standard lower mounts...you need either shorter swift springs(my set up) or the broadway static lower mounts...this was about a year ago they discovered this

no, i forgot to ask.
however, these coilovers feel great. I absolutely love the ride. very firm, but not jarring. cornering is predictable. riding on rough and bumpy surfaces doesn't feel uncomfortable. Quote:

Got just about everything installed. The rear springs are in just need to get the shock in and we're set. Is it just me but I found the design of the fortune auto coilover rears to be not the best. The shock I was told is adjustable to set preload on the spring (I was advised to preload by 1/8th of an inch) and the spring with the adjuster cup (spring on top and the adjuster cup on the bottom) is to adjust for ride height. The control arm shape has a dip in the center so its actually impossible to adjust the height of the car with the spanner wrenches without taking that piece out every time to adjust. I know on the KWs this is opposite that the cup sits on top and spring is on the bottom so its easy to get to. Is this just me or is this design quite odd?
