In the interior shots it looks like the seats are imola red but the door cards are coral red. My 08 has the same red combo and I am trying to figure out if this is how the factory builds them. The reds are close but not a match when side by side.
Can others with the red interior Ms confirm? |

Wheels are here finally!
These were very well packaged with nylon bands and tape around all seams on the box, cardboard stays around the lip on the front and back, a foam wheel face protector, and a plastic bag around the wheel itself. The center cap (free from Avant Garde) was just in a corner of the box. I was however disappointed that there were no BMW roundel stickers for the center caps as I was promised - I will be contacting my vendor about that tomorrow. Here are some pictures of the fronts, as you can see in the last picture, they weigh 26.0lbs on my bathroom scale - not too shabby for a wheel this size that is cast: And now the rears, these weigh 28.6lbs on my bathroom scale. Go go gadget low offset concave! Overall I am very pleased with the finish on these wheels and I like the fact that the barrels are fully painted - most less expensive wheels don't have that. Hopefully I can get them mounted and balanced tomorrow and I will put them on the car after work - stay tuned for more pictures! |

Center caps finally came in today! ...about time. Now that these are on, I will try to take some decent outside shots of the car with the wheels on and all.
Also got some 6k D2S bulbs, no pictures of these but they are more of a clean white with a slight blue tint - the S2000 headlights spoiled me. These were by far the easiest headlight bulbs I had ever changed. Never did I dream that all of the mods I wanted to do to this car would start to come together so quickly... Exhaust - check Wheels/tires - check 6k bulbs - check Suspension/lowering - maybe in the next coming months, looking heavily towards H&R Coilovers Aero skirts - also maybe in the coming months when funds are freed up CAI - maybe... still want to hear one in person before I sink any money into it |

Good eye. Someone backed into my car a while back. I'm waiting on my appointment with the body shop I have do ALL of my work. When the bumper is getting fixed, the skirts will get painted/installed too.

Perfect timing for you then. I figured it had to be something like that since you keep the car pristine.

Finally got to pick the car up from the body shop today and snapped these photos after a quick wash.
Composite Steve Mstache: And my M Roadster now has 100% more aero side skirts!! Next up will either be an intake (aFe or Gruppe M if I can find a reasonably priced used one) or suspension (H&R coilovers or maybe KW V3s). Thoughts? |

Thanks! Next up for me is to eliminate the "hanging balls" look with an RE Exhaust.
Mstache adds a nice touch as well, and the project is looking pretty balanced to my eye. (BTW, I like those wheels too.) As for KW V3 vs. H&Rs, IDK, depends on how much adjustment (height, dampening) you want and how much you want to pay I guess. Lots of guys here who can offer a lot more based on first hand experience though. In case you may have missed it, this is a pretty good thread on the H&Rs. Note: We're halfway down the 45 degree angle icy side of the mod slippery slope and accelerating! Last edited by Finnegan; 02-03-2012 at 03:06 AM.. |

Looking great, love the side skirts and wheels. The mstache looks really good, that's one mod I wish I could do but I already scrape the front as it is.
Edit: I don't like your lack of RC Car antenna
