its not many parts on top of what weve got, what i like is its mostly adding to the kit we have!!! Very pleased i went ESS.... ive gone through ALL the options and will most likely add this on as well BUT...... i dont really think it needs it... but i may just do it just for the sake of it....... lol.
check your pm

yeah it Really drives nice a the moment.... sooooo fast...... i genuinely cant see any reason why id need to move over to a turbo setup.... with the upgrade path ESS have made i can go right upto 650rwhp which is WAY more than this car ever needs... i still believe the 500 is probably over the top on such a short wheel-base vehicle... so i think i will most likely stop at the 550 which ill order mid summer.......
edit having been saying this for a while but WILL be getting some proper numbers soon, being a single father to a 9 month old baby/running a business, time has run away with me so i don get much time to myself but this year i plan to really have a good year in terms of modding :-)

Go from 450->500 sounds to me like a small step, 450->550 sounds much better.. What do you think? |

I think VT1-445 is around 370rwhp, VT2-500 is around 415rwhp, and VT2-550 at 470rwhp
of course the bigger your jump from stage 1 the better.. Its not available in "the states" yet (550 upgrade)

the biggest difference i noticed with the stage 2 kits was the consistant power where-as 450 feels really slow after youve driven hard on a hot day, when i did track days with the 450 the heatsoak made the car feel as slow as stock after a long day at the track, with 500 it always feels fast...... 450 to 550 would feel insane!!!! 550 is only available for the european owners however tom could easily run this as he has meth in place which simulates an effective 110 octane......

check out this .....
http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=899648 433rwhp in hot ass weather on 91 octane..... 415rwhp is down on power slightly imo, i dont think ive seen a vt2-500 put down less that 420rwhp mine came in quite abit higher but again was in cold weather with 105 octane fuel- 8psi pulley,...... but so many factors effect that..... weather, fuel, heat soaking ect ect.... im really looking forward to getting back to the dyno this year and getting some definitive warm weather figures.....

put it this way ill be dissapointed with less than 430 rwhp...... i had port n polish work done and by then my DKF exhaust system as well with race cats...... However i am considering dropping the DKF setup and spending the money on vt2-550, i already spent a little of the exhaust money on the hardtop which has got to be right up their with my favourite purchases!! im torn right now between a certain number of mods... im also going to start buying in transmission parts, DDS axle shafts, HPF feramic clutch.... soo little money sooo many mods left to do... BTW... the catch can has made a noticeable difference, the intake is now bone dry, lots of vapour, fuel, oil gunk ends up in their.... very pleased with that mod...... also want so body pieces before bmw stop them, like the aero skirts and alpina rear spoiler..... im pleased ive got loads left to do with this car :-) But still to this very day, the supercharger has given me a car that genuinely makes me smile every time i see it/ drive it..... im soo happy to say after all these years its been the best money ive spent,,, EVER.... .................................................. ..................................................

Interesting.. keep in mind different dynos read differently. Dynojet is the industry standard, and in the summer they had a software upgrade that makes them read 10% lower than before. This was confirmed by a few friends. I don't know if my boost leaked dyno was before or after the update. So you MIGHT get a lower reading than you expect if you used Dynojet before the update, just add 10% to it to compensate
please take this info with a grain of salt though, and do your own research to confirm this I've been hunting down my electrical gremlin by the process of deduction. I've ran a week with the amplifier disconnected, and haven't seen any issues. I'm 90% sure its the issue now, and most likely a simple wiring fix.

Why don't you assess your need for the exhaust before puchasing it?
Have you seen any dyno on a VT2-500 that proves any gains? All you're spending your earned money is on shiny pieces of stainless steel and a sound that you have never heard in person. I'd say buy the hangers and some dynamat and keep your money for better usage. your RPI GT exhaust sounds godly, i don't know why you want to change that, it destroys any BMW i've heard so far.
