Got my car this afternoon....starts everytime now. I opted for the used dme that was reprgrammed for my car. That warranty thing is a good deal. I did do some research regarding the dme re building services...they are cheaper. I just wanted to eliminate any issues that would come up if I had the dme sent out for repair and then it doesn’t solve my starting issues.

Yea, that would even be a tuff call for all of us. However, having the car in a location which can fix a tuff odd ball computer error is the key.
Hey, your lucky to be in a major meto area like LA, were you have specialist who can do this. I'm located 30 miles north of Gettysburg & 12 miles east of Carlisle, Pa & if the same happens to me I already know I'll be in deep do-do, because I won't find any specialist anywhere nearby. |

Yes...i knew about this shop long time ago..they have a yard full of salvaged bimmers and mercs. I go there to buy some used interior parts for my z4. The guys would let me go inside and do my own dismantling. I just never thought that they had a shop...it’s located on the back side and is not visible from the front yard, access is on the side street. When I drove in the shop, they did all sorts of newer bimmers.
