Has anyone installed this yet?
Are there already defined bolt points?

I ended up going with a completely custom cage built by a local builder who's well known in the SCCA community. FYI. He felt the Wiechers cage a harness bar that offered no additional protection in the event of a roll over. He also didn't feel comfortable with the strength of the mount points they chose. And on the subject of it being a harness bar, the upward sloping of the horizontal bar to which harness attach avoids interference with the center compartment (as does mine, FWIW) but caused us to question if that has an effect on the harnesses. I don't know the answers to those questions but the mere posing of them is cause enough for me to want to stay away. Needless to say, he advised against it. Granted, he may be biased a bit, but I believe his assessments.

Hi
Do you have photos of the cage installed? I am interested in a 4-point roll bar for my M Coupe and maybe you can help me arrange it with the shop that did your cage. Look forward to your reply Wayne |

Just updating some information for future searchers. Depending on your rulebook the Weichers probably won't work for classification due to the thin walls of the tubing. I emailed them and they won't substitute different size or grade tubing.
I've attached the dimensions for comparison and some local rulebook requirements to compare. |

Hmm..
SCCA: Over 2699 lbs: 1.50 x .120, or 1.75 x 0.095, or 2.00 x 0.080" NASA: 3001 - 4000lbs: 1.75" x .120 If I'm reading this correctly, SCCA would be legal...

file:///C:/Users/david/Downloads/GCR%20-%20January%202021as.pdf Page 95 If a car is over 2700lbs they accept one of 3 tubing sizes (alloy or mild steel) 1.50 x .120 1.750 x .095 2.00 x .080 So by that standard the Weichers would meet the middle standard with its mild steel roll hoops. |
