Why Turkey 2020 may prove to be prophetic for the 2021 Formula One Season

It's pure luck. The cars build themselves. Anyone can drive it. The FIA cheats for them. They started working on the PU just after they invented the automobile. All of their cars are 100kg lighter than the competition. They race on a shorter track than the competition and qualify with a Warp Drive motor.

Of course they always win.

Don't forget the w12 launches tomorrow so if you want to see what merc is up to tune in lol. Also launching tomorrow is alpine, and some time this week Aston martin and Williams (iirc).

Dang the w12 is looking good! I personally like the star livery but the amg one is nice too. But holy cow mercedes is not camera shy at all, getting right into the barge port area that other teams don't want you to see, only thing they're keeping secret is the floor area.

Overall that car is dope!

The rumor is that it's pretty much a sham car and they won't release anything real until testing. Ominous!!

lol! To be fair iirc mercedes did that with the w10 where on testing day they showed up with a nearly different car with all the new parts.

But Same could be said about red bull and their RB16B.

Lol yep, same for every team. We won't know technical details till winter testing where we can start to spot the intricacies of each car. But even then we won't know much until teams start talking about it. For example DAS, people though it was to change toe angle for reduction of undwrsteer, until mercedes came out and said it was for tire temps. So there's more in store to keep us fans excited.

2020 DAS => Approved by the FIA
2021 DAS => Banned by the FIA

In 2020 => Mercedes had huge advantage by DAS .
In 2021 => Mercedes would be cheating with DAS .

Yeah I am not a fan of the banning of parts in F1, I just want teams to keep moving forward not backwards.

Well DAS was part of the steering system and nothing in the regulations prohibited it so it was legal. The. They banned it because they didn't want every other team to have to spend to develop it. Imo I would just rather allow teams to have free reign so long as it's in the regulations no more banning. I wanna see f1 cars corner at 6-7g lol.

It doesn't matter how many times you explain it to him he will still recycle the same BS sooner rather than later.

The reason they didn't was that the DAS innovation was developed to ameliorate a small problem only Mercedes were having with creating and keeping front tyre temperature.

im waiting for Perez and Mick's interpretations this year as new episodes otherwise yes its recycling.. wait for Perez overtakes Max.. ouch..

Looking forward to Ricciardo in the McLaren. Hopefully they can cause some sort of upset in the first few races before their lack of development tokens hurts them too much.
