The Ground Control koni kit looks to be a great deal for customizing rates to intended usage. I see 3002 tii recommended 375F/450R on their track kit and GC recommends 375F/550R on their street kit. It also does not seem drastically different than a TC Kline SA kit. TC thinks very highly of their kits and has experience on the platform itself, but it has been a long time. A few members here have also experimented with a Bilstein and Eibach spring combo. After all this research I am nearly as confused as when I started... |

I'm on Bilstein PSS10s set to 3f and 3r and simple manholes or small road imperfections make the it feel like im driving over a bomb. Maybe its because im max low? still have wheel gap though. i drive on the same road in my e92 m3 on ohlin R&T and its like nothing. I find myself having to dodge and slow down for every little thing on the road and its taking away from the experience
Maybe the way the chassis is setup unless your stock height there isnt enough suspension travel to soak everything up no matter what coilover you go with? Last edited by ryank382; 11-09-2020 at 01:02 PM.. |

^^ it is a combination of factors
Not enough suspension travel Miss match spring frequencies Over damped I had the same in my H&R’s. Fixed the first two, but nothing I can do for three unless I go for a custom damper job (expensive) My car is better with adequate travel and springs, but it still is over dampened. |

Adding more tire (sidewall) would help if you can swing it. Ultimately its a very stiff car and it takes a lot to dial that back.
I will be swapping over the suspension on my car next spring. In a no budget world I would consider a FCM (fat cat motorsports) custom valve Bilstein setup - time will tell how stocks and life go in the next 6 months. |
