If you are not caging the car I would go with 2-way internals vs externals. otherwise, you can run the external canisters up the rear fender vents.

Why do you say the 2 way internals vs externals?

You have to remember SPEC e46 only run a single and those guys push hard. 2 -ways are plenty for part time track cars. I am running a 1-way on our 3.0 endurance coupe build and a 3-way on my C-Mod coupe. You can go crazy with suspension, but unless you are planning to race the car then the 1-way or 2-way will get you 95% there for what you are going to be using. If you call over to Bimmerworld and talk to Austin he is very familiar with the set up as well as Trevor at MCS. |

Thanks for the info. I have been working with John over at Bimmerworld and just sent him an email asking what I am loosing if I go non-remote over remote. My only thought is if I am already spening $3.5K on suspension might as well just spend the extra grand and get the best set up possible. The pressure adjustment of the remote set up is a cool feature too. I am giving myself till friday to decide.

Loving this thread
I am going to go with MCS because there is great trackside support in the Pacific North West. My Z4M Roadster is a daily driver that may, over time, become a dedicated track car. I am going with the MCS two way remote set-up because it - theoretically - offers higher performance and - mostly - because it is easier to adjust with the remotes being more accessible. I have not pulled the trigger yet because COVID hit us fairly hard, but if things keep recovering the way they are (west coast of Canada) I hope to do the suspension upgrade in September. |

You might want look at the two way set up as MCS's new adjustment knob on the two way looks like it might be even easier to adjust then the remote set ups.

You will never be sorry going with MCS, they are local for me and I have ran them on multiple cars.
Wait till you see what I am doing for the rear suspension set up. I am doing fully adjustable upper and lower rear control arms with Rouge Engineering upper inner control arm bearings, control arm bushings and Syncro RTABS. I have a machine shop who agreed to develop the upper control arms to match the lower Rogue control arms attached. |

New Rear Suspension is in and should have this back to a rolling chassis so I can get it back to the fab shop next week.

What a drool worthy thread! Subscribed to live vicariously through you...and wishing people would call and ask me if I'd like to buy their Z4C 3.0si. Thanks for sharing your builds with this group!

Been busy C-Mod car is off for a full cage and the 3.0is we are starting on full suspension, race diff, brakes, wheels, tires, aero and cooling system. Also we have something really special coming soon, heading to Nashville tomorrow to finalize the deal. 😉👍

Just finished the face lift on the endurance car. Will be heading to cage once the GT4 car gets back.
First shakedown is scheduled for later this month. |

He said it should be ready for shipping on the 28th. We had to add rocker panels as the front and rear fenders go all the way down. |

What spring rates did you decide to run on both of these cars?
