just to update, running BMW Motorsport 19's 245/35 and 275/30 on 8.5 and 9.5 respectively. Offsets are 39 front and 27 rear..
dropped on H&R Sport Springs. Fitment is good with no rubbing, though it gets very close. 3 mill spacer in the front and also going to stick one in the rear.

I think I found my answer but just want to run it past you experts. Plans are apex arc-8 wheels.
F: 18x9.5 et 35 with a 255 probably gonna have to be a 245? Might need a 5mm spacer? R: 18x10 et 25 with a 275? Use: street and autocross mainly maybe even track eventually. Suspension: stock for now with plans of going with KW V3s in next 6months. |

When lowered may or may not consider moving out from 245-255 // 35 to 45. Otherwise no real change should be necessary. Quote:
Your rears will probably be rubbing without some camber (unless it hits a perch on your suspension - inner clearance is cutting it close I think). Fronts will most likely be fine. |

Okay I've been reading through this whole thread and I am now completely confused. I understood my 2006 Z4 3.0si stock wheels were 17x8.5 with 225/45 tires. The ET I read was 40mm. I want to get 19x8.5 F and 19x9.5 R. So if I order the fronts with an ET of 35mm they should stick out 5mm more than stock and the rears with a ET of 40 they should set in the same as the 8.5 stock but come out the extra 1" or 25mm. So why am I seeing people dropping the 9.5" rear wheel to 25-27mm? That would push them out like 40mm from stock? AGHHH
Help please. I just want the wheels to be close to flush but error to the inside not sticking out and no rubbing. What should my ET be? 19x8.5 ET35? 19x9.5 ET40? BTW, I plan to run 245/35 and 275/30 tires Thanks so much for the help.

VMR gave you the correct specs in the other thread you posted regarding using 550 wheels.

Try to read the non-M thread. M and non-M has different ET/offset.

I have a 2006 Z4M Roadster
I have seen several ask and comment about: 245/40/18x9 ET42 275/35/18X10 ET25 on stock suspension. Will this work with no Modifications, Spacers or fender rolling? I thinking about Apex ARC 8 with RE-11's for autocross. 5 lbs/rim lighter than stock! It will just be casual AX, so I want to be conservative, not create any rubbing issues, but get as much rubber down as I can. Last edited by Bossdog; 07-26-2015 at 08:33 PM.. |

Thanks for your input. I saw your post with the same setup but I did not find the results of your AX excursion.

So...245/40/18x8.5 ET38 is a safer bet without spacer up front?

I have a Z4MC lowered on H&R springs, I only rub at the track or canyons, very minimal though.

If you come across anyone looking to sell a set of staggered Apex Arc 8's, have them look me up. I'd like to have them in in place by spring. Perhaps one of the retailers will have a "black Friday" special after Thanksgiving.

Full disclosure though... I pulled the wheels off last night for brake pad installation and noticed that my left rear tire was very slightly rubbed on the outside shoulder. Not enough to worry me at all. Checked in wheel well and it rubbed the fender liner a little bit. I think it was because the last autocross I did was over extremely bumpy/uneven pavement, because it had not rubbed over ~12 previous hard autocross events, plus some with dual drivers. APEX usually has an ARC8 group buy in the winter too. Last edited by intoflatlines; 07-28-2015 at 09:53 AM.. |

I have the same wheel size with 245/275 tires. My front spec is the same (+32) and find it to be perfect. I did +20 on rear for several years. Very very slight rub on the top of the fender (no major damage). I recently took out the 5mm spacer and still find +25 to be attractive. Since you're at +28 now, a 5mm spacer should be perfect. If you want more aggressive stance, you'll need quite a bit more camber or skinnier tires.

Current rubber: F: 245/35/19 R: 275/30/19 I'm actually downsizing from F:9 x 19 +31; R:10 x 19 +25; The KW coilovers forces the need for lower front offset (+22? <-> +20?) due to size of the front struts. The 9.0 fronts are just too big and the spacers used to lower the offset causes rubbing against the fender liner where the fender meets the bumper. I figured downsizing would help fix this. I'm also considering moving down to 235 F from 245 F; as well as adding a big of negative camber in the front. As far the rears, currently 10 x 19 +25 is bang on perfect for flush fitment (no spacers). |

hey guys, I'm thinking of buying this set of wheels for my z4m roadster. I was just wondering if you guys think they would fit. They're 11" wide in the back and I don't think I've seen any set ups like this in the thread yet. They're pretty good looking wheels and for the price I don't see a reason not to put them on just for show and things like that (as long as they fit). I also plan on lowering the car a bit afterwards to close out the wheel gap. Please help me out, thank you!

Pretty sure they'll stick out in both front and rear but with those skinny tires it "may" work. It'll be a stance look for sure if that's your thing.
