Update...

I just finished talking to Doug at DKF and we finally have some time frames from the production facility.
Until today DKF has been in the same boat as us in the GB. The only thing coming out of the manufacturer is everything is going fine.....

With the information today it looks like the original projections have in fact slipped a little.
DKF was very clear with me that they want to be completely up front on the production delay.
The manufacturer is saying that they had some tooling problems, but it really doesn't matter what the problem was. They are running a little behind.
They also stated that all issues are resolved and that production is in the final stages.

Right now the projections put the systems into DKFs hands approx two weeks later than expected.
One thing DKF has been able to do to speed things up is get the polished systems done at the mfg level rather than wait until they arrive.
This means that the expected shipping date for those with polished systems will be approx. end of August.

Systems that are being coated will still have to be done after arriving at DKF and will talk 1-2 weeks longer depending on how busy Nitro coatings are at the time.
Nitro expect to be able to do better, and if they aren't busy it can be done in less than a week.

Guys, I know that this isn't exactly that news we want to hear, but DKF is doing everything they can to try and claw any of that time back if possible.
Doug asked me to assure to you that he is not happy passing this news along to you, but the one thing he doesn't want to do is push the schedule and have quality compromised.
He apologized for any inconvenience this delay might cause.

Appreciate the heads up, mate. Like I said before, was surprised at the estimated timeline and fully expected minor delivery date slips. Custom fab work takes time; I'd rather have the deadlines slip than to get a shoddy product. Still anxiously awaiting Phase 2

I know, I know, just anxious Trying to decide if I want to install piecemeal or just wait til I have everything sitting in a corner of the garage. Currently the corner is housing some ceramic coated euro headers. They call to me every day. "Install us! Install us!"

I know what you mean. I have some Fabspeeds sitting in the corner for about 6 months now.

Thanks for the update. My car isn't really driven in the summer anyway, since it rains daily and it's just too hot. Only concern I have is pushing into football season, which means less time on Saturdays for wrenching

Wanted to throw my hat in the ring on praise for DKF.

I've got a full exhaust set and the quality is excellent. They stand by the product and its worth the wait, really.

I recommend the piecemeal method. I put headers on and loved it, then after a while it started to sound quiet and normal. Then I put on the stromung exhaust on about a month ago and I'm loving it. I know it isn't loud but it was louder than stock and thought it was perfect. Now after a month, I think my car is quiet again. I want more!! Throwing everything on at once might be too big of a shock to ya, plus each part you add will be another round of the "mod" smile

piecemeal + dyno

OVERKILL!!!

Depending on finding a good shop, if I can get a good deal I *might* try that route for the sake of the boards

Lol... To put it in perspective the previous car was an S52 MRoady that went from bone stock to fully built turbo and custom 3" all the way back. Not concerned about shock. More of an "I'm lazy, rather do it once." Haha

My understanding from above is: "shipping end of August". Am I wrong? I expect no updates until at least late August.
