OP ar you going to run the DKF exhaust system??? ill be buying the race CAT section (100 cel) Xpipe, sport mufflers, im hoping a decrease in volumn and an increase in performance, im really wondering how the vt2 is doing to react, 02 sensor placement seems perfect.

I'm going to do the blacked out tekarbons within a few months, as time and budget allows.
I ran the car hard on some mountain roads today, and heard some clunking from the front end. When I got home I took both wheels off and noticed slight rubbing on the shock tower on one side, the same side where the wheel bolts weren't tight....at all. My mistake! Still, I'm going to order some 5mm spacers... I got some amazing pics of the wheels, just gotta edit the busy background on the pics Off the line grip is much better, but I still think I'm breaking these in. Not planning on getting the DKF system, I drive this car daily, and want something tame. MAYBE the sport mufflers he has

got a sheet of aluminium, some drafting paper, a dremel, and some plastidip. Made better looking pieces around the intercooler, now there's no odd gap, and it follows the lines of the bumper better. Quick iphone "I just finished it and I'm going to bed" pic

im a stealth monster however and just LOVE the intercooler hiding behind the stock mesh section, the new uprated oil cooler shows through the grills as well, it looks sick!!!

got spanked by a modded ~475+rwhp e55 recently. He took off much faster than me off the line, I spun, and I didn't gain any ground on him. I need to seriously work on my launch, and/or get the racelogic TC with launch control

Have you (or beedub or iphone) gotten any 0-60 times? I'm very curious what that looks like after supercharging.

Unless its over 75* outside, I'd say its about the same as stock because of traction issues. BUT I'll get a vbox like I keep promising because I gotta learn the best RPM to launch from, since thats my weakness

A 5mm spacer fixed everything up front. The effective offset is now 35, on the 9" rim. Feels very planted in the corners. Needs an alignment though.
Colder weather feels REALLY good, especially on a 3am sprint to the airport with no other cars in sight. I think I'm also getting better at launching it. Might seem odd, but I get the best butt seat results by launching at only 1500rpm or even less. Once the RE-11s are warmed up of course. I'm doing some maintenence on it now. inspection, fluid changes, re-sealed my fogged up headlight, and in a few days doing alignment, new header gaskets, and welding in an additional o2 sensor bung so I can get A/F ratios finally read at the dyno. Oh, and the meth kit leaked while I was parked. At a small 90* fitting. Good thing I wasn't driving at the time, because thats next to the headers! AEM immediately sent me a replacement

This car is redicolously easy to do little drifts in. Cold rainy day, leave traction on, goose it in 2nd gear on a corner, and you'll get sideways across 2 lanes and almost immediately recover as the stability control evens things out. Just gotta get the countersteering right. Even works going straight on an off-camber road.
I gotta make some vids of this!

ive got drifting this car perfected, i can hold it in a slide and ride it out at will!!!
love it........ this car is a death trap in the wrong hands in damp/cool conditions, you could VERY easily get ahead of yourself and have a crash if your not careful. on another note, I Freaking HATE the rubber hose ESS use to connect the filter to the s/c intake, the metal rings inside cut through the rubber hosing so keep an eye on that, i had to do some tweaks to mine this morning, also i destruction tested my Old damaged s/c intake by tightening the clamps as tight as i could get them, i did this to gauge know how tight i can tighten down the clamps before i damage the plastic intake, i can tell you this plastic intake is hugely strong, even with the jubilee clips as tight as 2 hands i could barely deform the plastic let alone crack it like i though i would........ The moral of the story?? You can really tighten down all the clamps on the plastic s/c without fear of breaking something.... i even stood on it at one point it simply would not deflect at all....... Good to see ess are using proper quality pieces. i also ordered the eurowise billet dipstick as im sick to death of trying read my oil level witht he stock red item which due to its colouring especially as it ages makes seeing the actual level quite difficult, also mine appears to have stress fractures around the pull ring so, ill be getting looks and practicality with the billet one...... however they used USPS and they appear to be SHIT. 1 week and its still in america!! lol

found some interesting information about the s54 that i thought id share, it seems a catch can on our cars isnt strictly needed as the head has a built in seperator that seperates the oil from the vapour, you will always get alittle spray or mist but nothing significant, im now happy to scrap the catch can idea, once i get a perfect solution i will still run with the catch can as i feel it really cant hurt. Id like to get a header tank fabbed with a small catch can built onto the side for the neat solution i crave, i will then get some AN fittings welded to the can and the cam cover for neatness.
my billet dipstick finally arrived in the UK, still at customs, after nearly 2 weeks!!! USPS will never be used by me AGAIN, they suck ASS!!! i love the seats you pm's me, they are imo perfect for our tight cabins!! I just cant do a seat swap until theirs a proper solution for the airbag lights/passenger occupancy.... also asked ess for injector info and they politely declined to disclose our injector spec, i just wanted to know flow rates ect ect

Yeah, if we could get injector info, we could just put together out own 550 kit.... maybe some e46 guys know
I'm pretty sure EAS has a proper occupancy sensor fix for like $250. I think the lotus seats would be a great upgrade, AND they're already trimmed in leather. Plus, its very easy to add additional lumbar support to them. Just make sure they're mande by Probax, they're much more comfortable. The car feels strong in these barely above freezing temps, but the 225mm winter tires have so little grip I don't want to shred them apart, so I rarely go full throttle :/
