I bought these from a member on the z4-forum through Facebook. Here’s the link : Paddle Shift Mod
He makes a set for SMG and Steptronic which is pretty cool. Straight plug n’ play and he will set it to whatever preference you want. It also it can be reversed if you know a bit of soldering.

Thanks, MVRS for sharing! I have gotten to the point where I use the shifter instead of the paddles or if I'm lazy, I let the auto-transmission do its own thing!

Prior to owning my Z4 I had no experience with paddle shifters and found the “push to downshift and pull to upshift” to be quite natural and intuitive. I was surprised to find that the industry standard was left paddle to downshift and right paddle to upshift.
