All because of 1 woman. Oh the power they hold. Hahaha. But nonetheless great read! This forum sure has gotten a lot quieter and less entertaining than it use to be it seems.

Then I drove the F-Type. The roof came down. I put it into dynamic & sport mode. I took a right turn from the dealership. I gave it a bit too much gas. The rear end shifted quickly and I could feel the rear tires looking for grip. The exhaust burbled and then popped. I felt like a 16 year old. This car is not normal. It will kill you. It is anything but boring. Last edited by enfield; 08-12-2014 at 09:02 AM.. |

Wow, what a crazy long thread. I think Z4M owners are the most "normal" out of all BMW owners. Since normalcy is relative, I guess that means they're the most like me. I've found the Z4M owners I've met to be:
Pragmatic - Many of us seem to be engineers. I'm an architect Genuine car enthusiasts - not poseurs. We buy this car mostly for our own driving enjoyment & genuine appreciation/love of the machine Mature - Or at least not immature. Middle aged, or young but mature for their age. Aside from those obvious traits, I just seem to get along with all of them I have met. |

I have a 2010 335i, red and I really like it. I love the z still but couldn't drive a manual transmission and needed a newer car. The z is the weekend and fun car now.
Hope everyone is well. 155mph, enfield, finnegan and the rest of you.

There is a like button though! Look at the bottom of each post on the left and you'll see a 0. To each side is a thumb up or down. No one uses it though.

sheesh.. normality.. id recon thats gotta be a catch 22, if you recon your normal, your probably pretty shagged, if you recon your a little bit kookoo, id recon your alright in my book. onwards to the Kookoo's!
rant/ brings me to a more serious note though… what is normality? is it the borders and boxes we build around ourselves, so we can compare ourselves to others? is the the removal of free thinking since we were born? is it the co-orpirations trying to keep order within the chaos? most of those things are probably true, i do however believe that any of those boxes/borders will ultimately be the undo-ing of us all. our minds can contain infinite wisdom, yet we seem to be as neanderthal as the day our ancestors were born. /rant that said, i do feel a little less neanderthal every time i take the zed for a drive. > >

In contemporary societies force de vivre is still defined by survival of the fittest which in turn leads to their ultimate alienation caused by deterioration of their moral footing; and this, of cours, opens door for hatred and aggression, and eventually mutual annihilation; I think Vanne brings up a good point here, it's time to stop and think so there is no more Gaza Cities or Iraq s

I understand he was facing Parkinson's and chose to walk away on his own terms, which of course doesn't take away from your point of each one of us trying to continue what he stood for, which is unlimited, spontaneous compassion for adisadvantaged little guy

It's interesting the visceral impact Robin Williams seems to have had on such a wide swath of our population. The roles he brought to life have touched many of us in very real ways. Very few actors have done this.
