Can’t wait! A bit disappointing that the iM3 will not have an optional CF roof though.

Any word on if the iM3 Touring will come to the US?

Added some feature details for G70 and G6x/G9x LCIs.

Everyone who cares about one specific BMW model: if I'm not saying anything about it, it's only because I hate you and will only divulge my secrets when prodded.

Patience, people.

The most important spec of the year: NA5 frunk size is 58 liters!

Also added: detailed descriptions of Digital Premium and Security Assistant functions and NA5 interior choices.

ynguldyn, please update NA5 info. It is obviously not starting production on 07/2025 or 08/2025.

Because it’s already July and BMW already officially confirmed back in March that the new iX3 will be revealed in September with production starting in Debrecen (Hungary) at the end of the year for Europe and for North America on 03/2026.

To reveal the car they have to produce it...
They starting slowly with the production to be ready for customers car. Also before, they produce all the cars for the dealers and others (Test drives) in Europe. That doesn't go from a day to another... So production start this July is quite possible...

I fully agree. The latest press release from today says the same: "Series production of the BMW iX3, the first model of the Neue Klasse, will get underway at Plant Debrecen late this year, alongside high-voltage battery manufacturing at the same site."

In BMW language this means either 11/25 or 12/25 in practice.

Usually BMW uses pre-production cars in the official launches and for media photos, so the NA5 iX3 pre-production cars will most likely be built during August-September and the mass production cars as of November-December.

No.

“BMW has confirmed that the X4 will be discontinued after the current generation. Production of the X4 is expected to end in mid-2025. The decision to discontinue the X4 is partly due to the introduction of a redesigned, larger X2, which is seen as a more viable option for compact SUV shoppers.”

BMW has been building pre-production iX3 models probably for a couple of months now. However, by SOP (start of production), we and BMW mean mass production which obviously won’t start until the official reveal which is scheduled for September.

That was clear a few months ago - I’ve asked him twice in this thread, he keeps ignoring ynguldyn

Because all the sources I have point to the series production of the car starting right about now.

It is clear that the actual sales will begin later.

ynguldyn , if the G21 has a EOP of 2/27 and G81 has an EOP of 10/27, is the fair to assume that the NA1 has an SOP of 3/27 and ZA1 has a SOP of 11/27? Thank you!

Also what’s the deal with the 8-series special edition that they’re talking about?

Yes I am interested in a G87 M2 CSL as well. What timeframe? 2027? 2028? 2029? Let us know…

ynguldyn, so are you saying that NA5 iX3 series/mass production has started before the actual reveal in September? Has BMW ever done something like this?

This is an exceptional situation: a brand new plant with a brand new platform. It's not "mass" production yet. They're making a handful per day right now. But excluding the 40 and the M60, which won't be introduced until the next summer, they've already made hundreds of cars. The only remaining question is at which point they will flip the switch and say "starting with this example, we're making cars for sale".

Same with the 7 Series (G70)

Customer cars (i7) were delivered in Europe starting 11/22. But BMW started production already 07/22. In Germany you can buy used i7 produced before 11/22. Those are cars from BMW Group directly. So that's not so rare...
