New to Forum Intro
Hi All,
Hope this post finds everyone doing well... I have been a longtime BMW owner and just purchased my first roadster, a 2006 Z4. Trying to determine if there are any hardtops out there for sale? I have heard these are hard to find. If you ever want to see a google search fail, try searching for one. Anyone here know of a guy? Looking forward to being a part of the forum and Z family. ZBoy |

Newly purchased '06 Z4 3.0i Roadster
So, for the last 22 years my wife and I have shared a personally owned car because I had a company car (which could NOT be used for personal use). I also had a Harley Davidson Road Glide Ultra. Because Im getting old and will be retiring soon, I sold the bike for $7000 and wanted to purchase a 2nd personally owned vehicle. Visiting the carfax website, I found a 2006 BMW Z4 3.0i Roadster with 57,100 miles near my house for $9,500.
After test driving the car, I decided to buy it even though it needed new tires. The inside and outside of the car was immaculate, and everything worked except for the cup holders. Oh yes, the antenna and front Roundel was missing. Immediately after buying it, I went to get new tires, alignment, and then to the BMW dealership to buy the roundel, antenna, cabin air filter, and cupholders. I also made an appointment for a complete inspection. Two days later it was given a complete inspection, and besides an oil change and brake flush, it passed with flying colors. Thanks to the users of ZPOST and Youtube, I was able to install the roundel, cabin air filter, and cupholders without incident. The antenna just screwed in, but all in all, Im pleased with myself. I can't believe that after 14 years there are no squeaks or internal noises while driving. I have a 2017 Audi A6, which is a turbo charged 2.0 liter, but the Z4's straight 6 cylinder has more power. I actually enjoy driving the 14yr old Z4 more than the Audi. Incredibly, the Z4 seems to have a more modern shape and styling than the A6, which is 11 years newer. Again, thanks to this forum, I have saved lots of money and gained the self confidence to work on the car. Thanks, ZPOST. |

This has NEVER happened when we drive the 2017 Audi A6, but each time we have valet'ed with the Z4, the parking attendant parked it up front. At the place we went to last night, they even gave it the "special parking place", you know the one, usually reserved for the super expensive cars. The 3 late model Mercedes didn't rate it, even though my car is only worth (according to Blue Book) a full set of Mercedes tires. When presenting the ticket to the attendant, I asked why he parked it there, and his reply was, "because it was so pretty." I like this car. |

HI new to the site
I just bought a 2004 Grey BMW Z4 3.0L Love it so far. I do however need to find the correct headlight for my car theres a lot of condensation forming inside the headlight, it burned out a xenon bulb on the right side. I had the conversion kit for LED's installed and I think I need to find another passenger headlight but there are so many I am not sure which to buy to match the other side.

Odd request, but I'm trying to regain access to my original account (which appears to have been deactivated due to inactivity) under the username No_Dominion. I've tried using the password reset function, but it never actually sends an email to reset it. Any mods that could help, would be greatly appreciated...

You might need to pull the headlight out and dry it out and just replace the cover that allows you to access the internals sometimes the seal fails |

Just bought a 08 3.0si coupe 33K Miles. Not sure what mods to do. Already dropped in black grill and stubby.
Maybe I'll swap the orange reflectors for clear ones and add a lip spoiler |
