Some good news: the first production plenum has shipped and is on its way to me.

I'm hoping to do some side-by-side testing with a local E46 M3 owner who has a CSL-style intake.

Karbonius also has a plenum on their E46 and are putting some km on it.

How long will you have to test it, or test it, before Karbonius finally starts production for us?

Do you have a racebox or something similar to do 100-200kmh comparisons?

Yes, I have Eventuri as well. I'm planning to do tests with just the carbon plenum and plenum plus the Eventuri (as well as footage I already have of completely stock and with just the Eventuri.

I'll test it as quickly as possible - the postage tracking information says it'll arrive at the end of this week, but it may be next week. So, I'll test on the weekend of 5 and 6 November.

I hope Karbonius is already making the production items so that they will be ready to post ASAP, but I'm not sure.

I don't have a racebox, vbox, etc and I was really only intending to test sound, not performance.

In order to order all parts in advance, before the first airboxes arrive, I have enclosed the question of what is needed for the Z4M:

That's it, or is something still missing?

Correct - those are the parts you need. You will also need to reuse the clamps between the rubber boots and the throttle bodies. Based on your great work with the sound generator, I'm sure getting the clamps on and off again without damaging them won't be a problem for you.

Karbonius has said the plenum will be available today on their website and I have sent through the email list to them. If you're on the list, you should receive your discount code soon.

Today they also tested the plenum on the dyno and found it was +4HP, but noted that this is not really significant but certainly looks like there is no loss.

I hope to install mine this weekend and do some testing. With a bit of luck I'll post up some video before next week.

Sounds sooo great!!! I will test the plenum as well with my Racebox Mini (I will test it on the same stretch of motorway in the same direction and on the same day (because of temperature, wind, etc.) so that I have the best possible comparison.) I´m so excited

+4 Hp sounds great as well. Better like -4HP

I'm confused so Z4M owners Do NOT need this kit or we do ?
