This will explain better
"Flow Volume & Flow Velocity One of the biggest issues with exhaust systems, is the relationship between gas flow volume and gas flow velocity (which also applies to the intake track). An engine needs the highest flow velocity possible for quick throttle response and torque throughout the low-to-mid range portion of the power band. The same engine also needs the highest flow volume possible throughout the mid-to-high range portion of the powerband for maximum performance. This is where a fundamental conflict arises. For "X" amount of exhaust pressure at an exhaust valve, a smaller diameter exhaust pipe will provide higher flow velocity than a larger diameter pipe. Unfortunately, the laws of physics will not allow that same small diameter pipe to flow sufficient volume to realize maximum possible power at higher RPM. If we install a larger diameter pipe, we will have enough flow volume for maximum power at mid-to-high RPM, but the flow velocity will decrease and low-to-mid range throttle response and torque will suffer. This is the primary paradox of exhaust flow dynamics and the solution is usually a design compromise that produces an acceptable amount of throttle response, torque and horsepower across the entire powerband." from http://forum.concours.org/index.php?topic=45090.0 |

That is incorrect, You have flow and pressure confused.
Flow will go up with a corresponding pressure drop if we are talking about the same volume. I am not trying to bust your balls, I just want accuracy.

Well then you are not alone I'm a Mechanical Engineer as well, anyways, my english is not of the best, specially when is to technical explanations,
The volume it's not the same, and as you know is hard to define a system like an exhaust with just one or two parts of the process, But I'm open to discuss more about the system no problem |

No worries, I am more keen to see the finish product and it's performance.
Do you have a completion date yet ? Or like Boeing are you going to keep us waiting.

On a separate note, you should make a thread about the under tray pieces you've got in mind. I'd like to see what your thinking about. Any sketches? Details would be appreciated, as I am definitely interested.

Yes I will do that later but what I can tell is that will be a functional piece and not cosmetic meaning no CF in the process. The materials used will be Aluminum, Alumalite and Rubber/vinyl. something that does not make us cry if breaks or scratches, easy replaceable with low cost or maybe even DIY but yet functional.

VOLUNTEERS
Hey Guys we will need two volunteers from Arizona to test the system at ESS at Chandler, AZ 85226.
The car need to be full stock, no modifications. Car #1 Will test Sec 1 (S-pipe), Sec 2 (X-pipe) and Mufflers. No tune We may also perform a Sec 2 (X-pipe) and Mufflers only on Car #1 Car #2 will test headers, Sec 1 (S-pipe), Sec 2 (X-pipe) and Mufflers and run a full exhaust ECU Tune for the exhaust. The volunteer car #1 Will get a system at Cost Price. The volunteer car #2 Will get to keep the tune for the exhaust for free if buy the full system at discounted Price. We will run many Dyno test on those days for this two cars. Also I would count with CrFine88 to test the system with the Vt1 on those dates as well after we are done with the other 2 cars. I still have to confirm the above dates by the first week or so of January. Please let me know if I can count with you guys to make this happen, If all go as planed we should have this system available sometime in February or beginning of March to the general public counting that we get the right companies to sell them. Just to clarify, After the test your car would be put back to stock in case you do not wish to get the exhaust at that time, overall I just want to save the hassle of shipping my car to Arizona on the middle of the winter.
