Ordered a Z4
On May 1st; when should delivery be expected?
I called up the sales rep and he said the car was being made in Munich and needed time to ship. I thought All z4s were made in South Carolina? Anyway, how long does delivery with a z4 usually take? |

to my knowledge, z4s and Xs are all made in spartanburg, sc so you SA was full of shit. i think it will take about the same time as if it were made in germany - shipping time, so 5-6 weeks?

Up to 12 weeks.
BTW, cancel your order and get a Z4 from another dealership (there's plenty available with nice discounts). I have little tolerance when sales reps BS you like that. What a pisser... Welcome to the forums, mate! |

same here. Z4s are known to be not so hot so you can definitely get a nice deal on one.

Congrats, and sorry to hear about the shadeball dealer, NY dealers are especially horrible IMO. I bought my most recent car from NJ and had a much better experience

Yep, Z4s are manufactured in South Carolina, if your going to stick with the order, you should consider factory delivery of the vehicle, its worth the trip down there...

From the time they start, the car will be fully built and ready to go in just over 2 weeks. How long they spend on the shipping side is entirely dependent on where the car is going. In my case out here on the left coast, delivery took about 7 weeks. It should be a lot less to your area and there is always the option of taking the Performance Delivery.
Ordering was the only way I could get exactly what I wanted but that did preclude getting any kind of deal on the car.

Thanks for the replies, folks, they've been really helpfull.
I want to give the sales rep the benifit of the doubt and just assume he was misinformed. But the reason I ask is because I've heard about some horror stories where people were waiting up to 4 months for delivery. |
