Calabogie ADS / HPDE with my M Coupé
I am going to this event at Calabogie racetrack this weekend. I am very pumped to say the least.
This track is very recent and has 20 turns in 3 miles ... a lot of memorizing to do. http://www.calabogiemotorsports.com/...=43&Itemid=126 This event is organized through BMW Club of Ottawa and Patroon chapter of BMWCCA. I will use my 2008 M Coupé with very new RE050A Pole Position tires. No mods done on this car, and none in the foreseeable future. I will try to post pictures after the event. This will be my 4th event, and I am hooked. |

Just got back last night.
This track is daunting at first. So many blind apexes, so many turns, a few that are similar to others making it difficult to situate yourself on the track... Is the next turn a quick one or a slow one? After two sessions of 25 minutes, you start visualizing the whole track in your mind... start finding things in the distance to look out for and use as way-points. Main objective is a noticeable improvment from one session to the other. Objective attained! 4 run groups + a club race... 8 sessions of 25 minutes + two sessions as a passenger to help memorize the numerous turns. 2 excellent days. I had one session under a light rain shower. My RE050A Pole Positions were performing amazingly well. Next event, Tremblant (LCMT) August 20th & 21st. |
