Motorcycle accidents...

This is just crazy... And sad at the same time.

For those that ride motocycles, please be careful.

Now I will be careful since two brothers killed themselves.

I don't know the purpose of these kinds of posts.

Of course you have to be careful when you ride.

You have to be careful when you drive your car too.

This reminds me of the people who I tell that I ride a motorcycle and the FIRST think out of their mouth is "I know someone who was kill on a motorcycle."

This post is pointless.

Now lets talk about should you wear a helmet or not.

OK... Wear your helmet!

AND BE CAREFUL!

Everytime I leave my parents house, my mother says be careful and drive safe!

I don't bag on her because she cares...

I just reply. OK!

But the reminder in my mind does make me think about being extra aware when driving.

Have you ever told anyone getting on an airplane to have a safe trip?

As if they can doing anything about it... They're not flying the plane.

The one you really should say it to is the pilot.

Your not my mother.

Your post just shows that stupidity runs in some families.

Were they drinking, were they riding too fast (probably), were they experienced riders, did they take the motorcycle safety course, etc.

When your time's up; it's up.

I do were my helmet in Maryland (it's the law), but I don't when I ride in Penn.

be careful....ha, I heard the same thing right before I went out on my motorcycle "trip" to the gas station.....as a car made a left turn in front of me while I had a green light, and then stopped in the middle of the intersection as she saw me comming. I didn't have a chance..... a broken collerbone, fucked up shoulder, legs, and fingers and a totalled '04 gsxr 750! By the way, I had full gear.... an armored leather jacket, jeans, boots, and a full faced helmet. If I didn't have the helmet, my face would still have the license plate numbers imprinted on it......so hey....be careful everybody~~
By the way....who am I to say, "wear your helmet." Everybody should have the choice to live or die.

Wow thats horrible..motorcycle accidents occur so often, its terrible. I've noticed that most of the time its not the riders fault, motorcycles are just so dangerous, unprotective, and hard to see. Unforunately I can relate to this family's tragedy, my brother had also passed in a motorcycle accident due to an idiot driving on a suspended license....

Motorcycles aren't dangerous, people in cars are dangerous. I saw this on another forum already, I feel bad for the parents.

thats a sad post. i think if i had a brother, i'd probably haul down there too. i also feel real bad for the parents. being in a 3,000 pound car or being on a motorcycle is a big difference. I think you'd need to be much more careful on a bike.

Spoken like a true non rider.

Motorcycles are not so dangerous; there are just a lot of YOUNG stupid riders who like to ride fast and have not had proper training.

I have riden OVER 125,000 miles without even a close call (never even dropped my bike), but I didn't start riding until I was 39.

Your protection is your brain; ride like you're invisable and exspect the cars to do the wrong thing.

The AMA motorcycle safety course should be a requirement in every state.

What did I tell you; someone has to tell a story of someone they knew who was killed on a motorcycle.

Well said. I couldn't agree more.

On another note, here's a link to another bike story that's kinda nasty, but not for the bike for once
Be warned it's not for people with a weak stomach

My neighbor hit a deer and it threw him over the handle bars.

All he did was sprain his ankle (very lucky).

This is what his bike looked like at 3 months old.
