Recalculation of service interval after oil change...
hey guys!
I have '07 //M Roadster. It had 17,200km (10,750 miles) on it and I changed the oil&filter this past weekend (TWS 10W-60). Before I changed the oil, the service interval read 6,800km to go (24,000km). After I changed the oil, the service interval when I start the car, now reads 1,100km to go. My questions: why does it say this? (does it used condition based intervals?) and will I need to have it reset at that time by the dealership? Thanks! mikey |

So after a bit of reading, I did find out how to reset if I wanted to.
I did also see a note on the BMW technical bulletin that said "do not reset intervals if customer wants more frequent oil changes between intervals". So, I got all my questions answered, except why the service interval recalculated itself after my oil change? From what everyone's said on the board its all about gas consumption/mileage... thoughts? |
