I dunno why but it feels nice when all 3 key fobs are working haha. I re-initiated all my keys (bought a 3rd when I thought I lost a 2nd). But man is the range crap. I can only unlock from 5 feet away. Wish there was way to improve reception that doesn’t require using my head as an antenna.

Hard to get really good pics...horrible focus. A trim part for the sun visor mounted display.

...and CF wrapped grilles (same wrap used for the dash nav trim)...i covered the existing pattern printed CF grille that looked absolutely hideous...this is not the best but far better than it was and is actually something that i would swap out and run from time to time.

Any E90/92 mirror with auto dim, compass and homelink will work. Good used one can be had for under $70 shipped on eBay.

All black interior pieces finally acquired. It was really surprising how soon BMW has discontinued many of these parts for the E85/86. I did luck out with sourcing many of the parts though from a Z4 that unfortunately met its end with only 32K miles, so parts were in like-new condition, esp the carpets.

Seats were last to arrive. Nappa leather is a must for all my cars - so unfortunately I had to get the M seats for a premium (just wish they didn’t have the M emblem since I obviously don’t have an Z4M). It’s amazing how well they hold up compared to all other BMW leather options.

Will start the swap this weekend and hoping to document the entire process. Can’t wait to get rid of the beige interior. I had to have the Z4 in Hellrot Red - so unfortunately this was inevitable.

My Z is factory Sport. I just did a refresher and bought two struts and 2 shocks. At a minimum you would need those plus the sport springs and alignment. Maybe the sport option might have thicker stabilizer bars as well.

That's awesome. These bikes are rare these days. I still track mine but soon I will probably get a 1kRR for my main bike. I love 80's and 90's bikes they have that timeless look and feel. Very true, even though our Fireblades are old it's still a monster. It's like sitting on a speeding bullet lol.

I had a set of 996 calipers I intended to use on an aircooled 911 project. Decided to keep that car stock and put the 996 brakes on my Z4MC. PMB Performance did the refurb and paint in 'Tiffany blue'. Adapters and supporting hardware by Rally Road. Overall a pretty quick and easy swap. Haven't had a chance to road test it yet, because the car is at the airport and they keys were at home.

The Z is under cover for the winter, but the last thing I got was E46 M3 seats. Had the side latches deleted and had the seats upholstered to match the car
