Electric Fan Upgrade Recommendations
2005 Z4 3.0L with a Vortech 3si supercharger. I am working on a getting it custom tuned and adding headers so it will be generating a lot more heat. I have already replaced the radiator, expansion tank and added a high flow water pump.
I am interested in replacing the OEM electric fan with a higher performance fan. Anyone have recommendations? Looking for something that would be relatively plug and play and would just upgrade the CFM. |

I don't have a fan recommendation but WaterWetter will give you a few more degrees to play with. https://perryautolaval.com/products/...SABEgLpdvD_BwE

You shouldn’t need to replace the electric fan unless it’s inoperable or you are having heat issues at idle. A CSF radiator will do more for you while moving. It may be possible to adjust the thermostat to open earlier to keep temperatures low, but this is more of a novelty that doesn’t do a whole lot IMHO.
The headers will actually generate less heat since you will no longer have the hot catalysts next to the engine.
