Steering wheel recover by Coby Wheel
Hey guys... just thought I would share some pictures of my wheel after it was recovered by Coby Wheel. The leather on my wheel was starting to look a bit tired and letting down the rest of my perfect interior so a recover was needed. I ended up going with the Alcantara, red center stripe and M Tri-color stitching. The alcantara now matches my shift boot and arm rests. I couldn't be any happier with the work Mike at Coby wheel did! Now all I need is some red seat belts and a alcantara ebrake book and my interior theme will be complete.
I also went ahead and refinished the plastics on the wheel using PlastiDip. It turned out almost the same finish as the OEM finish..... we'll see how it hold up. Great product! I think I was the first to get a z4m wheel from Coby.
See my review http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthre...highlight=coby Close to two years later and both the wheel and knob are still looking great, I just use a damp microfiber every now and then to keep them looking and feeling good. |

It is actually super easy to install. I just hooked it up to the obd port for ground, power and a tach signal. Took me less then an hour to put in.

Coby wraps over old leather. That said I had Coby wrap my old coupe wheel and I was really happy with the result. But this time around I decided to go with Royal, who drops the old leather. Plus I wanted the perforated leather, and at the time, Coby wasn’t offering leather.

Only reason I’ve not installed yet is because I haven’t figured out what to do about the trim.
