Are Camber Plates a Must for Track Days?
Still undecided on what suspension upgrade to go with and with a wedding (daughter) in 2 months, new horse for our younger daughter, some house upgrades this year, plus the rod bearing and Vanos rebuild in 2 weeks, I think I will wait a year to get the suspension installed a year.
So, for the interim, and given the wear of my track tires, I was thinking on getting the Vorshlag camber plates so that I get more bang for the buck of my tire life. I also suspect that my times will improve as more of the tire will be in contact with the road on turns. Is this the better option over getting a stiffer front sway bar to improve my time? Been tracking for 2 years but looking to improve my times and have a bit more fun on the track. |

If you’re looking for an inexpensive mild camber adjustment, consider this kit from Turner. It’s nothing more than slightly longer bolts with spacers to kick the bottom of the strut out. IIRC, they’ll give about .5 degrees.
