What sparks and coils for Z4MR?
I am confused about what coils to get especially.
Pelican Parts has two options: https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_In...=674&DID=12987 https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_In...=674&DID=12987 For 30 and 67 dollars respectively. BMW dealer quoted me 170 dollars a piece. |

Looks to be a difference in OEM versus name brand. The $68 ones says BMW (though made by Bosch) whereas the $30 are Bosch without BMW logo
If you buy the BMW branded ones, and have any issues, you can get warranty issues taken care of at a BMW dealer. For the Bosch ones you would need to go through Bosch with any warranty issues.

Get the cheaper OE Bosch parts from FCP Euro. You get the savings and lifetime replacement.

Thanks for the replies, 140 dollar premium for getting them at BMW dealership is nuts.
Reminds me of my experience with Harley in Italy: the starter motor for my Buell was 550 at HD, but same part number used on the Fiat Stilo, for some 60. About 500 difference just for where you buy it! |
